摘要: A methanol synthesis plant comprising: a feed pretreating section operable to pretreat a feed stream; a synthesis gas (syngas) generation section comprising one or more reactors operable to produce a syngas synthesis product stream comprising synthesis gas from the feed stream; a methanol synthesis section comprising one or more methanol synthesis reactors operable to produce a synthesis product comprising methanol; and/or a methanol purification section operable to remove at least one component from the synthesis product to provide a purified methanol product; wherein the methanol synthesis plant is configured such that, relative to a conventional methanol synthesis plant, more of the net energy required by the methanol synthesis plant, the feed pretreating section, the syngas generation section, the methanol synthesis section, the methanol purification section, or a combination thereof, is provided by a non-carbon based energy source, a renewable energy source, and/or electricity.

摘要: The invention relates to chemical technology pertaining to mineral salts and can be used in the chemical industry. A process for producing ammonium bromide from a bromide-containing polycomponent hydromineral feedstock includes: two-stage oxidation of bromide ions using gaseous chlorine during acidification of a brine; air desorption of elementary bromide; absorption of same using a cooled solution of ammonium bromide; and reduction using an ammonia solution. The resulting concentrate of ammonium bromide is evaporated until crystals are formed. The ammonium bromide crystals are dried and the mother liquor is used to produce a solution of ammonium bromide as a commercial product.

摘要: Offshore systems and methods may be configured for oil production, offshore power generation, ammonia production, and carbon dioxide injection for EOR. For example, a method performed on an offshore facility may include: separating a produced hydrocarbon into a produced gas and a produced oil; combusting the produced gas to produce power and a flue gas; at least partially removing nitrogen from the flue gas to produce a carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas and a nitrogen-enriched flue gas; reforming a portion of the produced gas to produce a stream including hydrogen and carbon dioxide; at least partially separating the carbon dioxide from the stream to yield a carbon dioxide stream and a hydrogen stream; reacting the hydrogen stream and the nitrogen-enriched flue gas to yield ammonia; combining and compressing the carbon dioxide stream and the carbon dioxide-enriched flue gas; and injecting the compressed gas from the gas compressor into the gas reservoir.

摘要: Clean, safe, and efficient methods, systems, and processes for utilizing thermolysis methods to processes to convert various waste sources into a Clean Fuel Gas, Char, and Biochar are provided. The process further converts the Clean Fuel Gas into both a purified hydrogen source for green ammonia production and natural gas. The methods process waste sources to effectively separate, neutralize and/or destroy halogens and other hazardous components to provide a Clean Fuel Gas, Char and/or Biochar, which can then further be processed to extract and purify hydrogen for green ammonia production from the Clean Fuel Gas and thereby provide natural gas. The Clean Fuel Gas is a natural and renewable natural gas as it is continually produced and further available for use to provide energy and new products.

摘要: A chemical plant and operating method therefor; the chemical plant comprises a steam turbine having a shaft, a first pressure turbine stage and a second pressure turbine stage, each being arranged on the shaft and being connected in series in terms of the steam process; steam for driving the steam turbine is obtained from a reactor plant, said reactor plant producing a hydrogen-containing substance from a carbon-containing energy-carrier stream; the steam is heated in an overheating step before being supplied to the second pressure turbine stage; the steam turbine has a third pressure turbine stage which is arranged on the shaft and which is connected between the first pressure turbine stage and the second pressure turbine stage in terms of the steam process; and the steam passes through the overheating step after exiting the third pressure turbine stage.

摘要: An ammonia-containing liquid or an ammonia-containing gas is made to contact a porous coordination polymer in which a metal ion and an organic ligand coordinately bonded, ammonia is adsorbed to the porous coordination polymer, and the ammonia is desorbed from the ammonia-adsorbed porous coordination polymer to recover the ammonia. The porous coordination polymer that contacts the ammonia-containing liquid preferably has a water-soluble solvent adhered thereto. The ammonia-containing gas is preferably adjusted such that water is contained at an amount of 106 parts by mass or more when the ammonia content is 100 parts by mass.

摘要: A method for producing hydrogen product having a low carbon intensity is provided. The method includes the steps of: (a) converting a hydrocarbon feedstock to a hydrogen product using a hydrocarbon reforming process; (b) providing at least some of the required energy for the hydrogen production process from a biomass power plant; and (c) processing one or more flue gas streams from the biomass power plant in a carbon capture unit to reduce CO2e emissions. The hydrogen product has a carbon intensity preferably less than about 1.0 kg CO2e/kg H2, more preferably less than 0.45 kg CO2e/kg H2, and most preferably less than 0.0 kg CO2e/kg H2.

摘要: A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted an ammonia production unit. The ammonia production unit may produce ammonia utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced ammonia may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline. A portion of the hydrogen produced as part of the ammonia production process may be utilized to operate onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.
