摘要: The present application relates to the technical field of biomembranes and, in particular, to a method for extracting an exosome. The method for extracting an exosome includes the following steps: step 1. adding a whole blood sample onto a microfluidic centrifuge disk; step 2. separating the whole blood to obtain plasma; step 3. filtering the plasma with a microfiltration membrane; step 4. mixing the filtered plasma with a loading solution to obtain a mixed solution; step 5. filtering the mixed solution with a surface-modified membrane to trap the exosome on the surface-modified membrane; and step 6. eluting the exosome from the surface-modified membrane to obtain a target exosome.

摘要: A multi-layer membrane which has a mixed polyamide selective layer supported on a porous polysulfone layer. The mixed polyamide selective layer includes reacted units of a polyfunctional acyl halide (e.g. trimesoyl chloride) and a diamine mixture containing 4,7,10-trioxa-1,13-tridecanediamine and a cyclic diamine (e.g. piperazine). Methods of fabricating the multi-layer membrane via techniques such as phase inversion and interfacial polymerization are described. The inventive membrane is evaluated on its water flux and salt rejection (e.g. sulfate and chloride salts) capabilities. A water desalination system containing the multi-layer membrane(s) is also provided.

摘要: The invention relates to:—anion exchange blend membranes consisting the following blend components:—a halomethylated polymer (a polymer with —(CH2)x—CH2—Hal groups, Hal=F, Cl, Br, I; x=0-12), which is quaternised with a tertiary or a n-alkylated/n-arylated imidazole, an N-alkylated/N-arylated benzimidazole or an N-alkylated/N-arylated pyrazol to form an anion exchanger polymer. - an inert matrix polymer in which the anion exchange polymer is embedded and which is optionally covalently crosslinked with the halomethylated precursor of the anion exchanger polymer,—a polyethyleneglycol with epoxide or halomethyl terminal groups which are anchored by reacting with N—H-groups of the base matrix polymer using convalent cross-linking—optionally an acidic polymer which forms with the anion-exchanger polymer an ionic cross-linking (negative bound ions of the acidic polymer forming ionic cross-linking positions relative to the positive cations of the anion-exchanger polymer)—optionally a sulphonated polymer (polymer with sulphate groups —SO2Me, Me=any cation), which forms with the halomethyl groups of the halomethylated polymer convalent crosslinking bridges with sulfinate S-alkylation. The invention also relates to a method for producing said membranes, to the use of said membranes in electrochemical energy conversion processes (e.g. Redox-flow batteries and other flow batteries, PEM-electrolyses, membrane fuel cells), and in other membrane methods (e.g. electrodialysis, diffusion dialysis).

摘要: A method for concentration of oligonucleotides from a solution comprising negatively charged oligonucleotides is provided. The method includes the steps of: circulating the solution through an ultrafiltration or nanofiltration unit having a membrane, filtering the solution through the membrane to remove salts from the solution and obtain a retentate solution including the oligonucleotides and a permeate solution including the removed salts, diafiltering the retentate solution with a diafiltration buffer to produce a concentrated oligonucleotide solution, and collecting the concentrated oligonucleotide solution. The membrane has a nominal molecular weight cutoff in the range of from about 700 to about 5000 daltons, a negatively charged surface with a zeta potential of −20 mV or lower, and a water flux in the range of 800 to 1500 ml/min/m2.

摘要: A method and system for the offshore production of fuel includes an offshore marine platform on which is mounted an ammonia production unit. The ammonia production unit may produce ammonia utilizing raw materials sourced adjacent the marine platform, including seawater and electricity from offshore wind turbines. The produced ammonia may be subsequently liquified and transported away from the marine platform, or conveyed to a remote location via a seabed pipeline. A portion of the hydrogen produced as part of the ammonia production process may be utilized to operate onboard combustion turbines that can in turn drive electric generators onboard the marine platform to produce electricity.

摘要: Various embodiments of a system and method for enriching a concentration of components of interest in an air flow are described. The system includes an apparatus for enriching a concentration of components of interest in an air flow. The apparatus includes a chamber and a tube having a tube wall made of a selectively permeable material positioned within the chamber. A first end of the tube is connected to the inlet port of the chamber and a second end of the tube is connected to the outlet port of the chamber. The selectively permeable material has a lower permeability to components of interest than to inert gases, and the selectively permeable material is non-reactive with components of interest. The apparatus is configured to receive a sample stream and the chamber is maintained at a chamber pressure that is different than a stream pressure of the sample stream.
