摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods for isolating whole cells from frozen tissue samples. The present disclosure further provides kits for obtaining isolated whole cells from a frozen tissue sample. One benefit to the methods and kits can be the rapid isolation of whole cells from frozen tissues upon thawing. Another benefit to the methods and kits disclosed herein can be the rapid and efficient extraction of isolated whole cells from stroma material in frozen tissues. 摘要: Methods of inducing or controlling particle motion in suspensions and colloids are described. In one aspect, a method of inducing particle motion in a suspension comprises contacting the suspension with a gas phase to establish at least one interface between the gas phase and continuous phase of the suspension. One or more gases of the gas phase are transferred across the interface to provide a solute gradient in the continuous phase, the solute gradient inducing motion of the suspended particles.

摘要: An automated computer-controlled sampling system and related methods for collecting, processing, and analyzing agricultural samples for various chemical properties such as plant available nutrients. The sampling system allows multiple samples to be processed and analyzed for different analytes or chemical properties in a simultaneous concurrent or semi-concurrent manner. Advantageously, the system can process soil samples in the “as collected” condition without drying or grinding. The system generally includes a sample preparation sub-system which receives soil samples collected by a probe collection sub-system and produces a slurry (i.e. mixture of soil, vegetation, and/or manure and water), and a chemical analysis sub-system which processes the prepared slurry samples for quantifying multiple analytes and/or chemical properties of the sample. The sample preparation and chemical analysis sub-systems can be used to analyze soil, vegetation, and/or manure samples.

摘要: A method for dilinoleic acid extraction and elution that includes the steps of pipetting aviation fuel into a first syringe barrel with a filter; allowing the aviation fuel to flow through the filter into a waste collection vial; pressing on a inserted first syringe plunger such that any remaining volume of fuel is expelled through the filter and into the waste collection vial; removing excess fuel from the filter; affixing the filter to a second syringe barrel; pipetting a polar organic solvent into the second syringe barrel and allowing the polar organic solvent to flow through the filter into a sample collection vial; expelling remaining volume of the polar organic solvent through the filter and into the sample collection vial; homogenizing contents of the sample collection vial; and, measuring concentration of dilinoleic acid in the volume in the sample collection vial.

The solid sorbent is configured to allow for the preservation of the stored contaminants.
