The ride height sensors may determine ride height information associated with individual wheels of a vehicle. The brake system may apply braking force to the individual wheels of the vehicle responsive to provision of a brake application signal. The controller may generate the brake application signal during vehicle pitch based on vehicle speed and the ride height information.

摘要: An electronic control unit determines driving force that is generated on wheels and has an identical absolute value and opposite directions to each other in order to suppress pitch behavior and/or heave behavior occurring on a vehicle body in association with travelling of a vehicle. Then, the unit controls the drive of in-wheel motors through an inverter based on the driving force. On the other hand, electronic control unit changes the damping forces of shock absorbers constituting suspension mechanisms in response to the pitch behavior and/or the heave behavior occurring on the vehicle body. In this way, by controlling one of the pitch behavior and the heave behavior that may occur in combination, enhancing of the occurrence of the other one that is not intended can be prevented effectively, and the occurrence of intended behavior on the vehicle body can be controlled independently.

摘要: A correction torque command is outputted to a driving/braking torque producing means in accordance with a correction torque to suppress vehicle body sprung vibration. When a state of the correction torque amplitude being greater than or equal to a predetermined amplitude continues for a predetermined time, a control apparatus outputs a hunting time correction torque command smaller than a normal time correction toque command. When a state of the correction torque amplitude being smaller than or equal to the predetermined amplitude continues for a first predetermined time, the control apparatus returns the output of correction torque command from the hunting time correction torque command to the normal time correction torque command. The control apparatus continues the output of the hunting time correction torque command if the state in which the correction torque amplitude exceeds the predetermined amplitude continues for the predetermined time, before the expiration of the first time period.

摘要: To provide a front wheel and rear wheel interlocking brake system having a simple structure, which is capable of automatically performing brake control of the front and rear wheels on the basis of the running state of the motorcycle. A front wheel and rear wheel interlocking brake system is provided for a motorcycle in which a front wheel brake and a rear wheel brake, each being hydraulically operated, are provided on a front wheel and a rear wheel, respectively. The brake system includes a front wheel side actuator for applying a hydraulic pressure to the front wheel brake. A rear wheel side actuator is provided for applying a hydraulic pressure to the rear wheel brake. At least one operating member is operated by a driver. An operated amount detecting member is provided for detecting the operated amounts of each brake operating member. A control member is provided for receiving and calculating each of operated amounts detected by each operated amount detecting member. An outputting drive control signals to the front wheel side actuator and the rear wheel side actuator on the basis of the calculated result. In this brake system, the control member performs brake control for single brake control for singly driving either the front wheel brake or the rear wheel brake and interlocking brake control for driving the front and rear wheel brakes in accordance with a specific braking force distribution characteristic, and causes control to switch between single brake control and interlocking brake control on the basis of the operated amounts detected by the first and second pressure sensors.

摘要: A straddled vehicle includes a front wheel, a rear wheel, an engine which generates a driving force and rotates the rear wheel with the driving force, a front wheel brake and a rear wheel brake which lowers the rotation speed of at least the rear wheel, a first detector which acquires and outputs a pitch rate, a second detector which detects and outputs information concerning rotation of the front wheel, and an ECU including a front wheel lift determination circuit which monitors respective outputs from the first detector and the second detector to determine whether a front wheel lift exists based on at least one of the pitch rate and information concerning rotation of the front wheel. When the front wheel lift exists, the ECU controls the driving source or the braking device so that the driving force is lowered or the rotation speed of the rear wheel is lowered.
