摘要: A novel technology to create 3D-printed objects that are extremely temperature resistant, mechanically robust, ultra-low-wear, and exhibit self-healing behavior. The material can be manufactured in a wide variety of process conditions and even used as a high-strength adhesive, enabling hybrid fabrication strategies. The gel precursor for this material is formed from two solids that react to create a high-performance polymer when heated. Unlike similar materials, these are solid at room temperature and form a printable gel when dissolved in a solvent. Addition of a secondary solvent to this gel modifies the solubility and creates a super-saturated fluid with tunable rheology. Once the gel material has been printed, it is allowed to dry via forced convection. This removes the solvent and leaves only the uncured polymer precursors. After the majority of the solvent has been removed, the material is heated to its cure temperature, at which point it melts, cures, and re-hardens. This process is then repeated for each subsequent layer deposited.

In addition, the brush roller of the present invention has a plurality of fluid channels communicating between any adjacent two, and the plurality of fluid channels respectively extend to the surface of the brush roller to form pores to improve the fluid permeability of the brush roller, and in the brush roller manufacturing method of the present invention, after the PVA emulsified solution is cured, the compressive stress under the condition of the predetermined compression ratio can be formed to meet the expected brush roller, and it can be used to brush the circuit substrate.

摘要: A method for making an insulated vehicle extension dash panel includes injection molding an extension dash panel from a structural polymer. The method further includes adding a plurality of components to a mixer to form an insulating foaming layer. The plurality of components includes a two-part liquid silicone compound, a catalyst, and a foaming agent. A screw is then coupled to the mixer and the insulating foaming layer is injection molded to an inner face of the extension dash panel. The insulating foaming layer is then cured to the inner face of the extension dash panel to form the insulated vehicle extension dash panel.

摘要: Various methods and systems of making inorganic fiber/flake reinforced composites having a thermoplastic matrix are disclosed. The methods use systems similar to those used to make inorganic fiber/flake reinforced products having a thermoset matrix, but the systems and methods are modified to use thermoplastic precursor monomer(s) followed by in situ polymerization of the monomer(s) during and/or following forming of the desired shape of the products. These methods permit the manufacture of superior inorganic fiber reinforced thermoplastic matrix composites in large and very large shapes heretofore not possible, or practical.

摘要: Articles of manufacture possessing corrosion resistance characteristics are described, in particular for use in the chlor-alkali and other industries. The articles are formed from a resin composition, e.g., a cyclic olefin composition, polymerized with a Group 8 olefin metathesis catalyst. In particular aspects, an electrolytic cell component, such as a cell cover for use in the electrolysis of brine, may be formed from the resin composition. Among other benefits, such articles provide improved corrosion resistance compared to articles molded from other resin compositions, such as fiberglass reinforced polyesters and vinyl esters, and two-component dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) resins comprising molybdenum or tungsten pre-catalysts.
