摘要: A method for 3D printing a part with an additive manufacturing system includes printing a first portion of a part in a layerwise manner and analyzing a topology of the first portion of the part. The method includes determining a tool path for printing a second portion of the part on a surface of the first portion of the part, and pre-heating the first portion of the part along the tool path as a function of the topological analysis of the first portion of the part. The method includes printing the second portion of the part along the tool path.

摘要: A print head for additively manufacturing fiber-reinforced composite materials includes a feed channel, a heating block, a nozzle and a cutting unit. A filament of the fiber-reinforced material enters an inlet of the nozzle through the feed channel, leaves the nozzle via an outlet of the nozzle, and is deposited on a print bed. The cutting unit is located inside the heating block which has a beneficial effect on the cut and/or the shearing of the material to be printed. The invention also relates to a method in which the filament is cut and/or sheared, wherein the cutting unit performs a linear movement or rotation, or the print head per se performs a linear movement or rotation, as a result of which the filament is cut and/or sheared off.

摘要: Methods for producing highly spherical particles that comprise: mixing a mixture comprising: (a) nanoclay-filled-polymer composite comprising a nanoclay dispersed in a thermoplastic polymer, (b) a carrier fluid that is immiscible with the thermoplastic polymer of the nanoclay-filled-polymer composite, optionally (c) a thermoplastic polymer not filled with a nanoclay, and optionally (d) an emulsion stabilizer at a temperature at or greater than a melting point or softening temperature of the thermoplastic polymer of the nanoclay-filled-polymer and the thermoplastic polymer, when included, to disperse the nanoclay-filled-polymer composite in the carrier fluid; cooling the mixture to below the melting point or softening temperature to form nanoclay-filled-polymer particles; and separating the nanoclay-filled-polymer particles from the carrier fluid.

摘要: A composite filament melt impregnation device with an automatic lifting channel for additive manufacturing includes a mechanical lifting device, a heating device, a curved resin impregnation channel, a filament guide block, a single screw extruder, a replaceable combination die nozzle, and a resin riser. The composite filament melt impregnation device can significantly improve the efficiency of replacing filaments and treating broken filaments in a forming process of continuous fiber filaments, reduce the operation difficulty of a production process, and ensure the safety of operators. The design of the resin riser can achieve slight dynamic adjustment of pressure in a melt cavity in the production process, improve the stability of product quality, and ultimately achieve continuous production and rapid replacement of high-performance continuous fiber composites.

摘要: A 3D printing system includes a reservoir for a UV-curable dielectric material in communication with a first nozzle configured to print the UV-curable dielectric material onto a substrate and a reservoir for a low CTE filler in communication with a second nozzle configured to print the low CTE filler onto the substrate, and a reservoir for a conductive ink in communication with a third nozzle configured to print the conductive ink onto the substrate. The 3D printing system prints the UV-curable dielectric material and the low CTE filler such that the printed low CTE filler mixes with the printed UV-curable dielectric material and forms a UV-curable dielectric layer with the low CTE filler dispersed therein.

A flock product comprising: a main body having a surface and composed of a forming material including a thermoplastic polymer or a formed product which is a melted and cured product of the forming material; an adhesive layer arranged on the surface; and a flock pierced into the adhesive layer.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a three-dimensional object from a powder to form each layer of the object. The method includes the steps of driving a powder distribution sled in a first direction to distribute a layer of powder; driving a print sled in the first direction; driving the print sled and the powder distribution sled in a second direction; preheating the layer of powder by activating multiple radiation sources during various ones of the driving steps; during some of the driving steps, depositing a pattern of fluid onto the layer of powder; and sintering the powder on which fluid was deposited only in the second direction, by activating the at least one radiation source assembly during various ones of the driving steps in that direction. Repeating the above steps to distribute the next layer of powder.

摘要: A method of forming an ophthalmic contact lens may include the steps of preparing a first resin mixture including HEMA, PEGDA and a photoinitiator, preparing a second resin mixture including HEMA, PEGDA, a photoinitiator, and a pH sensitive dye, forming a first layer of the contact lens using an additive manufacturing apparatus by dispensing and curing the first resin mixture, and forming a second layer of the contact lens onto the first layer using the additive manufacturing apparatus by dispensing and curing the dispensed second resin mixture onto an outer surface of the first layer. A ratio of HEMA to PEGDA is higher in the second resin mixture than the first resin mixture and a volume of photoinitiator in the second resin mixture is less than the is less than a volume of photoinitiator in the second resin mixture. An ophthalmic contact lens configured to treat CVD is also provided.
