    摘要: The present invention relates to a method of working up an aluminum-containing reaction product from the production of isopulegol by cyclization of citronellal in the presence of complex compounds, comprising at least one ligand of the formula (I), where R1, R2, R3 are chosen from hydrogen, halogen, nitro, C1-C8-alkyl, C1-C8-alkoxy, di(C1-C4-alkyl)amino and aryl; R4, R5 are chosen from halogen, nitro, C1-C8-alkyl, C1-C8-alkoxy, di(C1-C4-alkyl)amino, aryl or heteroaryl; in which a) the reaction product is subjected to distillative separation to obtain an isopulegol-enriched top product and an isopulegol-depleted bottom product and b) the ligand of the formula (I) is separated off from the bottom product. Moreover, the invention relates to a method of producing isopulegol, and to a method of producing menthol.

    摘要: A catalytic composition is obtained by mixing at least one chromium compound with at least one aryloxy compound of an element M selected from the group formed by magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium, with general formula M(RO)2-nXn, where RO is an aryloxy radical containing 6 to 80 carbon atoms, X is a halogen or a hydrocarbyl radical containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms and n is a whole number that can take values of 0 to 2, and with at least one aluminum compound selected from hydrocarbylaluminum compounds (tris(hydrocarbyl)-aluminum, chlorinated or brominated hydrocarbylaluminum compounds) and aluminoxanes. The catalytic composition can be used in an ethylene oligomerization process, in particular to produce 1-hexene.

    摘要: A method for hydrogenating living polymers that include mainly conjugated double bond monomers and aromatic vinyl monomers. At least one conjugated diene compound is polymerized or copolymerized in an inert solvent by using a polymerization initiator of organic alkali metal. The produced polymer is contacted with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst is formed of a cyclopentadienyl titanium compound represented by: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are independently selected from halogen groups, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl groups, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkoxy groups, C.sub.6 -C.sub.20 aryloxy groups, C.sub.6 -C.sub.20 cycloalkyl groups, silyl groups, and carbonyl groups. A cocatalyst is provided of alkoxylithium compound represented by:R.sub.4 O--Liwherein R.sub.4 is a hydrocarbon. This cocatalyst selectively hydrogenates the unsaturated double bonds in the conjugated diene units of the living polymer.

    摘要: A catalyst component useful in the polymerization of olefins is disclosed. The catalyst component comprises the product obtained by steps of (a) contacting silica with at least one hydrocarbon soluble magnesium-containing compound; (b) contacting the product of step (a) with component (1), a heterocyclic fused ring compound substituted with at least one oxygen atom, and component (2), a modifying compound selected from the group consisting of silicon halides, boron halides, aluminum halides, alkyl silicon halides and mixtures thereof, with the proviso that components (1) and (2) be present such that the molar ratio of component (2) to component (1) is at least about 4:1; and (c) contacting the product of step (b) with a titanium-containing compound having the structural formula TiX.sub.m (OR).sub.n, where X is halogen; R is hydrocarbyl; m is an integer of 1 to 4; and n is 0 or an integer of 1 to 3 with the proviso that the sum of m and n is 4. A catalyst system, used in the polymerization of alpha-olefins, which comprises the catalyst component of this disclosure, an aluminum-containing compound and a silane compound is also taught. Finally, a process for the polymerization of alpha-olefins, utilizing the catalyst system of the present disclosure, is described.
