Abstract: To provide a solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization having a small amount of fine powder. A solid catalyst component for olefin polymerization containing a titanium atom, a magnesium atom, a halogen atom, and an internal electron donor. The solid catalyst component has an absolute difference in binding energy of 73.50 to 75.35 eV between a peak (1) with the binding energy of 457.00 to 459.00 eV and a peak (2) with the binding energy of 532.50 to 534.50 eV. The peak (1) and the peak (2) are within peak components measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, the peak (1) is obtained by waveform separation of peaks assigned to the 2p orbitals of the titanium atom, and the peak (2) is obtained by waveform separation of peaks assigned to the is orbital of an oxygen atom.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to alkylated aromatic compounds useful as basestocks and additives for high viscosity applications. Abstract: A method of operating a dump tank of a polymer production process by transferring all or a portion of a content of a polymerization reactor into the dump tank, wherein the reactor contents comprise solid polymer, and liquid and gaseous non-product components, and removing at least a portion of the liquid and gaseous non-product components from the dump tank by: reducing a pressure of the dump tank, subjecting the solid polymer to a first cleaning stage comprising heating the solid polymer by introducing a first heated treatment gas into the dump tank, and subjecting the solid polymer to a second cleaning stage comprising purging the solid polymer by introducing a second heated treatment gas into the dump tank.

Abstract: A process for reducing the loss of catalyst activity of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst is provided. The process includes preparing a Ziegler-Natta (ZN) catalyst by contacting the ZN catalyst with at least one aluminum alkyl compound to produce a reduced ZN catalyst and storing and/or transporting the reduced ZN catalyst for at least 20 days at a temperature of 25° C. or less. The reduced ZN catalyst may be used for polymerizing polyolefin polymers.
