摘要: The present invention relates to a polyethylene composition comprising a base resin comprising a low molecular weight ethylene polymer component and a high molecular weight ethylene polymer component, wherein the high molecular weight ethylene polymer component has a higher weight average molecular weight than the low molecular weight ethylene polymer component, wherein the base resin has a density of at least 958.0 kg/m3, and the polyethylene composition a melt flow rate MFR2 (190° C., 2.16 kg) of from 0.50 to 0.80 g/10 min and a molecular weight distribution being the ratio of the weight average molecular weight and the number average molecular weight, Mw/Mn, of from 10.0 to 15.0, a process for producing said polyethylene composition, an article comprising said polyethylene composition and the use of said polyethylene composition for the production of a film.

摘要: In various embodiments, a polyethylene formulation has a density of greater than 0.940 g/cm3 when measured according to ASTM D792, and a high load melt index (I21) of 1.0 g/10 min to 10.0 g/10 min when measured according to ASTM D1238 at 190° C. and a 21.6 kg load. Moreover, the polyethylene formulation has a peak molecular weight (Mp(GPC)) of less than 50,000 g/mol, a number average molecular weight (Mn(GPC)) of less than 30,000 g/mol, and a weight fraction (w1) of molecular weight (MW) less than 10,000 g/mol of less than or equal to 10.5 wt %, as determined by Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). Articles made from the polyethylene formulation, such as articles made by blow molding processes are also provided.

摘要: A continuous solution polymerization process is disclosed wherein at least two homogeneous catalyst formulations are employed. A first homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a first reactor to produce a first ethylene interpolymer and a second homogeneous catalyst formulation is employed in a second reactor to produce a second ethylene interpolymer. Optionally a third ethylene interpolymer is formed in a third reactor. The resulting ethylene interpolymer products possess desirable properties in a variety of end use applications, for example in film applications. A means for increasing the molecular weight of the first ethylene interpolymer is disclosed and/or a means for increasing the temperature of the first reactor, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation. A means for reducing the (α-olefin/ethylene) weight ratio in the first reactor is disclosed and/or reducing the density of the first ethylene interpolymer, relative to the third homogeneous catalyst formulation.

摘要: The invention is directed to a multimodal polyethylene having a flow ratio FRR ranging between ≥25 and ≤35, a density ranging between ≥948.0 kg/m3 and ≤953.0 kg/m3, an MFR190/5 ranging between ≥ 0.1 and ≤0.4 g/10 min and comprising from 50-54% by weight of an ethylene homopolymer A and from 46-50% by weight of an ethylene-hexene copolymer B, where all percentages are based on the total weight of the composition and wherein ethylene homopolymer A has a viscosity number ≥110 cm3/g and ≤130 cm3/g and a density between ≥960.0 kg/m3 and ≤969.0 kg/m3. The polyethylene is suitable to be applied in the production of pipes.

摘要: A polyisoolefin-based polymer composition having a multimodal molecular weight distribution and a level of unsaturation of greater than about 4 mol % is described, which can be prepared by co-polymerizing 70-96 vol % isoolefin monomer and 30-4 vol % β-pinene or multi-olefin monomer, based on volume of isoolefin monomer and β-pinene or multi-olefin monomer, in a solution comprising 0-30 vol % aliphatic hydrocarbon diluent, based on volume of the solution, and an alkylaluminum halide initiator system. The polyisoolefin-based polymer composition has a multimodal molecular weight distribution having a first molecular weight fraction having a peak molecular weight (Mp) of less than about 300 kg/mol, and a second molecular weight fraction having a peak molecular weight (Mp) of greater than about 1000 kg/mol or at least 3 times greater than the Mp of the first molecular weight fraction.
