    Abstract: The invention relates to a polypropylene composition comprising: a) a bimodal random Ziegler-Natta propylene copolymer having a comonomer content of 2.0 to 4.5 wt.-%, said copolymer comprising: (i) 30 to 70 wt.-% of a first propylene copolymer having a comonomer content in the range of 0.1 to 4.5 wt.-% relative to the total weight of the first propylene copolymer, and an MFR2 of 1 to 100 g/10 min; and (ii) 70 to 30 wt.-% of a second propylene copolymer having a comonomer content in the range of 1.0 to 15 wt.-% relative to the total weight of the second propylene copolymer and an MFR2 of 1 to 100 g/10 min; with the proviso that the comonomer content of the second propylene copolymer (ii) is higher than for the first propylene copolymer (i); and b) at least one hindered amine light stabiliser.

    Abstract: A polyethylene powder having a viscosity average molecular weight of 100,000 or more and 2,500,000 or less, wherein, in a torque curve obtained when kneading the polyethylene powder under the following using a Labo Plastomill, a slope of a straight line connecting two local maximum points is 2 N·m/min or more and 15 N·m/min or less:

    After 24 g of liquid paraffin is kneaded for 10 minutes using a Labo Plastomill Mixer, produced by Toyo Seiki Seisaku-sho, Ltd. (unit model: 30C150, mixer model: R-60) at a set temperature of 114° C. and a rotation speed of 5 rpm, 16 g of the polyethylene powder and 0.4 g of an antioxidant are added thereto, followed by kneading at a rotation speed of 30 rpm for 3 minutes, and then the set temperature is raised from 114° C. to 163° C. over 1 minute; and after the temperature rise, the mixture is kneaded at a set temperature of 163° C. and a rotation speed of 30 rpm for 5 minutes.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a multimodal polyethylene composition in the reactor system according to the invention, comprising; (a) polymerizing ethylene in an inert hydrocarbon medium in the first reactor in the presence of a catalyst system, selected from Ziegler-Natta catalyst or metallocene, and hydrogen in an amount of 0.1-95% by mol with respect to the total gas present in the vapor phase in the first reactor to obtain a low molecular weight polyethylene or a medium molecular weight polyethylene; (b) removing in the hydrogen removal unit 98.0 to 99.8% by weight of the hydrogen comprised in a slurry mixture obtained from the first reactor at a pressure in the range of 103-145 kPa (abs) and transferring the obtained residual mixture to the second reactor; (c) polymerizing ethylene and optionally C4 to C12 α-olefin comonomer in the second reactor in the presence of a catalyst system, selected from Ziegler-Natta catalyst or metallocene, and in the presence of hydrogen in an amount obtained in step (b) to obtain a first high molecular weight polyethylene or a first ultra high molecular weight polyethylene in the form of a homopolymer or a copolymer and transferring a resultant mixture to the third reactor; and (d) polymerizing ethylene, and optionally α-olefin comonomer in the third reactor in the presence of a catalyst system, selected from Ziegler-Natta catalyst or metallocene, and hydrogen, wherein the amount of hydrogen in the third reactor is in a range of 1-70% by mol, preferably 1-60% by mol with respect to the total gas present in the vapor phase in the third reactor or optionally substantial absence of hydrogen to obtain a second high molecular weight polyethylene or a second ultra high molecular weight polyethylene homopolymer or copolymer; and a multimodal polyethylene composition obtainable this way.
