摘要: The invention relates to a method for vitrifying a biological sample. The method includes positioning a sample holder with the biological sample by a transfer device in a starting position. The sample holder has a base and a pin projecting from the base along a holder axis. Further, the biological sample is attached to the pin distant from the base. The method further comprises adding a liquid to the biological sample in the starting position by a liquid dispenser. Further, the method comprises moving the sample holder with the biological sample by the transfer device along a predetermined transfer path from the starting position to a release position, wherein the biological sample in the release position is arranged in or adjacent to a liquefied gas. It is provided that the transfer path is inclined with respect to the holder axis or runs along a circular arc. Furthermore, the invention relates to a vitrification apparatus which is configured to perform the method.

摘要: Provided are a vehicle body assembling method and a vehicle body assembling apparatus which allow a simple configuration in the vicinity of the connecting portion between an upper jig and a lower jig and allow an increase in the efficiency of assembling work (welding work). A vehicle body assembling apparatus is equipped with a jig for supporting vehicle body components in a preassembled position, the jig comprising an upper jig and a lower jig which are connected to each other in at least two places. Each of the connection places is provided with a connecting means for fixing a three-dimensional coordinate position while allowing uniaxial turning. The vehicle body assembling apparatus is also equipped with a conveying means for conveying the upper jig which supports the vehicle body components, and reduces the load applied to the lower jig from the upper jig when connecting the upper jig to the lower jig.

摘要: The invention provides, in various embodiments, systems, devices and methods relating to ex-vivo organ care. In certain embodiments, the invention relates to maintaining an organ ex-vivo at near-physiologic conditions. The present application describes a method for using lactate measurement in the arterial and the venous blood lines of the Organ Care System Heart perfusion device to evaluate the: 1) The overall perfusion status of an isolated heart and 2) The metabolic status of an isolated heart and 3) the overall vascular patency of an isolated donor heart. This aspect of the present invention uses the property of myocardial cell's unique ability to produce/generate lactate when they are starved for oxygen and metabolize/utilize lactate for energy production when they are well perfused with oxygen.

摘要: The disclosure provides methods of making a cell-containing product having a uniform amount of cells therein. The method comprises pooling red blood cells from a plurality of blood units, and inactivating any pathogen contained therein. A storage solution added to the cellular component results in a cell-containing product that is essentially pathogen and white blood cell free and has an extended shelf life of about 42 to about 100 days. The cell-containing product is further divided into units which comprise a uniform dose of RBCs per unit.
