摘要: The present invention relates to a storage device (1) for storing cryogenic samples (2), comprising at least one sample holder (3), the sample holder being configured to hold at least one cryogenic sample (2). According to the present invention, the storage device (1) further comprises an elongated sample transport unit (4) configured to releasably hold the at least one sample holder (3) and to be inserted into an internal space (50) of a cryogenic storage dewar (5) through an opening (51) of the cryogenic storage dewar to completely submerge the sample transport unit into a cryogenic liquid (6) residing in the internal space, wherein the sample transport unit is further configured to move said at least one sample holder along a predefined path from a storage position into a removal position, from which the at least one sample holder can be removed from the internal space of the cryogenic storage dewar. The sample transport unit may comprise a chain (40) to be circulated to move the sample holder along said pre-defined path, the chain being looped around a first and a second toothed wheel (41,42).

摘要: A system and method facilitates transfers of specimen containers (e.g., vials with caps) between storage cassettes and carrier cassettes. The storage cassettes are designed to be stored in cryogenic refrigerators while the carrier cassettes are designed to be temporarily stored in a portable carrier. Identification information is read from wireless transponders carried by the specimen containers. Visual mappings of the positions of the specimen container in the cassettes is provided. Presence and position of the specimen containers in the cassettes is verified, and alerts of inconsistencies provided along with corrective commands. Inventories of specimen container and even specific specimen holders are provided.

The drive component can drive the storage rack to rotate and move up and down in the storage cavity, and can drive the plurality of cryopreservation tube racks to move to a position corresponding to the access door.

摘要: A label for a tube having a diameter D may have a transparent facestock. A printing area is defined on a first surface of the transparent facestock, the printing area configured to receive data thereon, the printing area covering only a portion of the transparent facestock, whereby a shielding portion of the length of the label is transparent. An adhesive layer is on a second surface of the facestock. A wireless communication inlay is adhered to the adhesive layer in a portion of the label corresponding to the printing area. The printing area and the facestock are sized for the shielding portion to overlap at least partially the printing area when the label is wrapped on a tube.

摘要: A compact, mobile communicating carrying case for the transport and storage of temperature-sensitive materials. The carrying case regulates to temperature presets that can be altered real time directly or remotely. Cryogenic temperature control is provided by use of a low boiling point liquid coolant, like liquid nitrogen or air that accelerates in a multicore cooling system. A microprocessor-controlled double function solenoid acting as a valve and sensor, temperature sensors, and several mechanical one way release valves regulate the cooling system. Peripheral integrated modules collect, send, receive and display information on the case and on smart devices about location, core temperature, the carrier and the nature of the enclosed material. The carrying case provides a compact laser-etched sterile working area, in addition to a set of basic instruments, needed for procedures using the biological materials.

摘要: Methods are disclosed of freezing, cryopreserving, and transferring a frozen sheet-shaped cell culture. The method of freezing includes (1) a step of immersing in a cryopreservation solution a sheet-shaped cell culture supported by a mesh-shaped support body; (2) a step of removing the cryopreservation solution adhered to the sheet-shaped cell culture, while keeping the sheet-shaped cell culture supported by the mesh-shaped support body; (3) a step of enclosing the sheet-shaped cell culture in a cold-resistant film, an upper surface and a lower surface of the sheet-shaped cell culture being covered by the mesh-shaped support body; and (4) a step of freezing the sheet-shaped cell culture.
