摘要: An apparatus and method for storing reeds. The apparatus includes a tray having a first platform and a second platform opposite from the first platform where each platform includes a plurality of reed passages, an inner recess between the first and second platforms, and a plurality of ventilation apertures on the first and second platforms. The tray may be removably configured within an airtight container. A method for storing reeds includes positioning a humidity-control insert within an inner recess of a tray, having a first platform, a second platform opposite from the first platform, an inner recess between the first and second platforms, and a plurality of reed passages on the first and second platforms, wherein each of the plurality of reed passages may include ventilation apertures. The method further includes placing a reed within one of the reed passages and securing the reed with an elastic band.

The user package has a film forming an enclosure containing a urinary catheter having a hydrophilic coating and a water-based liquid in direct contact with the hydrophilic coating on the urinary catheter. The product package has a first water vapour transmission rate (first WVTR) that configures the product package to be porous to water vapor to allow water vapor from the water-based liquid that exits the user package during storage to pass through the product package to adapt the user package to be dry to touch when a user opens the product package.

摘要: Packaging systems and methods are disclosed for storing a bioprosthetic device comprising a bioprosthetic tissue and maintaining a target relative humidity across a temperature range. The packaging system includes a sealed package defining an internal space having an internal volume, and a humidity control device and bioprosthetic device within the internal space. The humidity control device includes a barrier defining an enclosed space and a humidity control solution comprising glycerol in the enclosed space. At least a portion of the barrier comprises a gas-permeable membrane. The target relative humidity is provided within the internal volume of the sealed package and the control device maintains the target relative humidity across the temperature range by selectively liberating and absorbing water vapor.

摘要: A rehydration device configured to be placed in a storage box is described. The rehydration device includes a first part and a second part. The first part and the second part may be connected via a hinge at a first portion about which the first part and the second part rotate. The first part and the second part may hold a piece of woven hemp fabric. The piece of woven hemp fabric may be configured to maintain a predetermined humidity level in the storage device. The rehydration device further includes a locking mechanism located along a periphery of the first part and the second part, to removably couple the first part and the second part in a closed position. The rehydration device further includes one or more openings to allow water vapors from the hemp fabric to flow out of the rehydration device.

摘要: Aspects of the disclosure relate to “wet” transcatheter prosthetic heart valve or other implant packaging and assemblies in which a prosthetic heart valve or other implant is loaded into a first portion of a delivery device and positioned within a container in which sterilizing fluid is retained to sterilize interior portions of the container as well as provide moisture to prevent the implant from drying out. The disclosure also relates to methods of sterilizing the disclosed assemblies. Some disclosed methods include at least two sterilizing steps and adjustment of a mechanical seal member or formation of multiple seals so that areas proximate the seals are also sterilized during the sterilization process.

The storage container is a sealed capsule to provide an aseptic atmosphere. The substrate is an absorbent material having a water absorption capacity in the dry state of at least 50 g water/cm3. The storage container has two end segments and a tubular middle segment. The substrate and the development material are arranged in the middle segment. At least a first one of the end segments is arranged opposite the middle segment. The substrate and the development material are arranged in the middle segment. At least a second one of the end segments is arranged opposite the middle segment and has a smaller wall thickness than the middle segment, has a wall material that is more thermally, physically, or chemically susceptible to attack than the middle segment, has a predetermined separation point.

The pouch or other container may be made of a material which is moisture permeable and liquid impermeable, for example, and the aqueous saturated solution further comprises a thickening agent. In some embodiments, the components of the aqueous saturated salt solution are separately contained in different compartments of the device container, and a user may activate the device to mix the components together.
