Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to techniques for neuromodulation delivery. Based on image data acquired from the subject, control parameters controlling energy application of neuromodulating energy may be dynamically changed during the course of the delivery to maintain desired characteristics of the neuromodulating energy. For example, the beam of the neuromodulating energy may be dynamically adjusted to account for movement of an organ during breathing. In another embodiment, a desired region of interest is identified within the subject based on a trained neural network and the acquired image data.

Abstract: A system includes a bacteria culture array that includes a plurality of chambers each configured to receive a portion of a sample that includes bacteria. Each individual chamber of the plurality of chambers includes a chamber opening configured to permit access of the portion of the sample to the individual chamber. The system also includes one or more sensors configured to collect data from the individual chamber. The sensors are configured to contact the sample. Additionally, the system includes a monitoring and analysis system that includes a processor configured to receive the data from the one or more sensors at a first time and a second time, compare the data received at the second time to the data received at the first time, and identify a portion of the plurality of chambers of the bacteria culture array based on the comparing.

Abstract: A method of eluting biomolecules, such as nucleic acids from a biological sample by electroelution is provided. An example of a method includes various steps, such as loading the biological sample to a device comprising a housing, at least two conductive redox polymer electrodes operationally coupled to the housing and a biomolecule impermeable layer disposed on at least one of the electrodes. The loading of sample is followed by initiating an electrical connection to generate an electric field strength sufficient to elute biomolecules from the biological sample; and eluting the biomolecules from the biological sample.

Circulating nucleic acids are extracted from the non-cellular fraction and are circularized to generate single-stranded nucleic acid circles, which are then subsequently amplified by rolling circular amplification using random primers to produce an amplified library. Devices for the collection of a non-cellular fraction from a biological sample are also provided. The device includes a filtration membrane and a dry solid matrix, which is in direct contact with the filtration membrane.

Abstract: A system for extracting material from a region of interest includes a fluid delivery base comprising an inlet channel and an outlet channel formed within the fluid delivery base; a gasket affixed to the fluid delivery base, wherein the gasket comprises at least one opening exposing an open end of the inlet channel and an open end of the outlet channel; a support comprising a sample-supporting surface facing the gasket and an opposing surface; and an alignment member coupled to the opposing surface in a fixed position and such that the support is positioned between the fluid delivery base and the alignment member, wherein one or both of the alignment member or the fluid delivery base are biased towards one another by a force (e.g., a magnet or spring force) and wherein the fluid delivery base is separable from the support and configured to move along a plane of the sample-supporting surface to align with the alignment member.
