The thermoplastic elastomer compositions may be particularly useful in forming laminates, such as slip coat laminates for glass run channels.

The process includes moving the multilayer film across a roller at a rate from 20 kg/hr to 1000 kg/hr. The process includes maintaining the roller at a temperature from T1c—30° C. to T1c, and forming a multilayer film with a layer A having a thickness from 50 nm to 500 nm and an effective moisture permeability from 0.77 to 2.33 g-mil/m2/24 hrs.

Bags, such as L-sewn bags and multi-substrate bags, are formed at least in part from an open mesh material that includes filaments that intersect one another. At least some of the filaments are composite filaments having a carrier portion of a relatively high melting point and a bonding portion of a relatively low melting point, the bonding portion of each composite filament being thermally bonded to other filaments at points of intersection. The material may be a non-woven fabric that contains at least two layers of weft filaments that may be bordered on one or both sides by a layer of warp filaments. When compared to other open mesh materials, the open mesh material disclosed herein has a superior combination of some or all of high strength, light weight, high dimensional stability, and openness. Also disclosed herein are methods of making and using such bags.

An impact penetration resistant laminate comprises a plurality of alternating layers of (i) non-fibrous ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene monolayers and (ii) a thermoplastic adhesive, the adhesive having a basis weight of no greater than 5 gsm and a zero-shear-rate viscosity, determined from an oscillating disc rheometer in a frequency sweep between 0.1 rad/s and 100 rad/s, conducted per ASTM D 4440 at 125° C., and calculated from fitting to a Carrea-Yasuda four parameter model, of at least 1500 Pa-s, wherein(a) at least 90 percent of the monolayers are arranged such that the orientation of one monolayer is offset with respect to the orientation of an adjacent monolayer, and (b) the modulus of elasticity through the thickness of the laminate, as measured by Test Method A, is at least 3 GPa.

The lower friction layer no longer covers a substantial portion of the higher friction area, after the pollution control device is assembled.
