Abstract:
Measuring device for measuring test objects includes a transmitter-receiver unit and a corresponding mirror arrangement. Mirror arrangement has a first mirror forming a first focal point and a second focal point in an x-y plane, and first mirror is, at least sectionally, elliptically curved for deflecting radiation between the focal points. Mirror arrangement includes a second mirror arranged in region of first focal point, second mirror is used for deflecting radiation between a z-direction extending transversely to the x-y plane and between the x-y plane. Test object to be measured is arranged in region of second focal point by a test object holder. Radiation reflected on test object is evaluated by a control unit. Measuring device allows measuring of test object in simple and flexible way, in particular measurement over the entire circumference of test objects in form of plastic pipes having circular cross sections.

Abstract:
An acrylic material can block up to about 98% of ultraviolet wavelength radiation from passing through. The acrylic material can also be produced to block a substantial amount of infrared energy, resulting in a material that can be used to fabricate an enclosure that can keep occupants cool and safe from harmful ultraviolet radiation. The acrylic can be manufactured from an acrylic mix containing elements of ultraviolet blocking and infrared blocking technology. The acrylic mix can be extruded in various dimensions and thicknesses, depending on application. For marine enclosure applications, the sheets can be formed in 60-inch by 120-inch by 0.080 inch thick sheets.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing elastomeric material components of a tyre for a vehicle wheel includes feeding a continuous elongated element from a delivery member for application onto a support, giving the support a rotary motion around a geometrical rotation axis of the support, so that the elongated element is circumferentially distributed on the support, and carrying out controlled relative displacements for transverse distribution between the support and the delivery member to form the elastomeric material components of the tyre with the elongated element. Feeding the elongated element takes place by extrusion of elastomeric material through at least one extrusion screw and at least one gear pump. The component is defined by a plurality of coils laid down in a pre-established deposition pattern depending on a cross-section outline to be given to the component. An apparatus for manufacturing elastomeric material components of a tyre for a vehicle wheel is also disclosed.
