Abstract:
An extruder has a pair of linkage parts configured to respectively link end portions of a pair of output shafts of the speed reducer with end portions of a pair of screws coaxially. The linkage parts each has: a coupling having an insertion hole into which the end portion of the screw and the end portion of the output shaft are inserted; and a locking part attached to the end portion of the output shaft. The coupling has a first receiving portion configured to receive the end portion of the output shaft; the second receiving portion configured to receive the locking part; and a step portion formed between the first receiving portion and the second receiving portion. As the step portion is locked by the locking part, a relative movement of the coupling relative to the output shaft in a direction towards the screw is restricted.
Abstract:
In the disclosed method, in order to control an extruder including two intermeshing screws for driving a material to be extruded, the following steps are performed while a material to be extruded is being processed by the extruder: constantly measuring the viscosity of the material in the flow of the material in the extruder, and adjusting the extruder in accordance with the viscosity measurement. In order to adjust the extruder in an effective and efficient manner, the rate at which the extruder is filled with material along the intermeshing screws is modified by adjusting, downstream from the screws, a flow cross-section for the material in accordance with the viscosity measurement.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a low-gloss heat-resistant ABS resin composition and its preparation method. The low-gloss heat-resistant ABS resin composition includes following components by weight: 100 parts of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin, 5-30 parts of heat-resistant agent, 1-5 parts of matte masterbatch D, 0.2-1.0 parts of light stabilizer, and 0.5-2.0 parts of other additives. The preparation method includes steps of: stirring and fully mixing the above-mentioned raw materials in a high-speed mixer, and then feeding the raw materials into a twin-screw extruder through a metering device; melting and compounding the materials under the conveying, shearing and mixing of the screws, and then extruding, pulling, cooling and granulating, and finally obtaining the low-gloss heat-resistant ABS resin composition. The resin composition provided by the present invention not only has excellent mechanical properties, but also has an ultra-low gloss; therefore, it is very suitable for use in the field of automotive interior parts.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a fiber-reinforced resin material, includes preparing a kneaded material by melting a thermoplastic resin and kneading the molten thermoplastic resin with reinforcing fibers; preparing a reinforcing fiber-impregnated material including a supercritical fluid by accommodating the kneaded material in a sealed space and supplying the supercritical fluid into the sealed space such that the molten thermoplastic resin is impregnated into the reinforcing fibers included in the kneaded material; and manufacturing the fiber-reinforced resin material by extracting the reinforcing fiber-impregnated material from the sealed space and leaving the reinforcing fiber-impregnated material to stand in a reduced-pressure atmosphere such that the supercritical fluid foams.
Abstract:
An improved rotary head extruder incorporates a twin auger system, in lieu of the typically used single auger, to create random extruded products having a density within the range of about 3.0 to about 6.0 lbs/cu ft. Extrusion using the rotary die system of a rotary head extruder together with the twin auger system allows for a wide variety of fine materials to be successfully introduced into and conveyed within a rotary head extruder to the die assembly, where the materials are cooked to form random extruded products. A transition piece at the downstream end of the augers allows for continuous, uniform flow to the die assembly, where cooking takes place. The extruded products incorporate formulations with various ingredients aside from the typically used corn meal formulations, having different tastes and nutritional benefits while maintaining the desired bulk density, texture, and crunch of random extruded products.
Abstract:
In order to provide a twin-screw extruder that can also be effectively used for a use, such as straining, since suppressing an increase in load power and the generation of heat of a material in a hopper unit and increasing pressure for extruding a material from a material outlet in a compression unit, the size of the lead angle of a screw blade at the position of the compression unit is set to be larger than the size of the lead angle of the screw blade at the position of the hopper unit 11 and the screw blade is disposed at the position of the compression unit so as to be wound two or more times.
Abstract:
A kneading apparatus includes a processor, and a extruder. The extruder includes a screw. The screw includes a screw main body. A conveyance portion, a barrier portion, and a path are provided at places of the screw main body. In at least one of the places, the path is provided inside the screw main body, and includes an entrance and an exit. The raw materials, pressure on which is increased by the barrier portion, flow in from the entrance. The raw materials flowing in from the entrance flow through the path toward the exit. The exit is positioned to be remote from the entrance in an axial direction.
Abstract:
An extruder screw conveying raw materials while kneading them includes a screw main body, conveyance portions, barrier portions, and paths. The conveyance portions convey the raw materials in an axial direction. The paths each include an entrance and an exit. The raw materials, the conveyance of which is limited by the barrier portions, flow in from the entrance. The raw materials flowing in from the entrance flow through the paths in an opposite direction to a conveyance direction. The exit is opened in the outer circumferential surface of the screw main body at a position outside the conveyance portions in which the entrance is opened.
