Abstract: A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.

Abstract: Method of manufacturing mats for use as support surfaces include depositing a resin material in a mold shaped to define a mat, depositing a recycled material on a top surface of the deposited resin material, and at least one of heat treating and pressure treating the resin material and the recycled material to generate a formed mat. The recycled material and the resin material are fused together during the treatment by at least one of the heat treating and the pressure treating to form a friction layer of the formed mat comprising the fused resin material and recycled material.

Abstract: A desk pad can include a base and a removable, fabric top. The top can be removed from the base and washed or switched with a different top. The base can include at least two layers with one layer having a slip-resistant material for placement onto a desk and another layer housing a plurality of lights around the perimeter. The layer housing the lights can be made from a transparent or opaque material. The base can also include a control unit having a connection socket for connecting the desk pad to a computer or power source.

Abstract: The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
