摘要: A building element for a semi-permanent and relocatable structure includes: (a) a member having a rectangular, cross-sectional shape, that encloses an interior portion which has open ends that include cornering portions, (b) a pair of flanges, one of which extends outwardly from each of the member's top corners, (c) a pair of member cavities, each extending between the member's open ends and being located proximate an interior, bottom corner and having an opening that provides access to the cavity, (d) a 90-degree, mitered bracket, with fasteners, configured to fit into the open end of a member cavities and join two members on their ends at a right angle, and (e) a detent formed in each of cavity and configured to provide a locking mechanism for the free end of the fastener.

摘要: A system for constructing an insulated building wall, includes a plurality of building panels, wherein a first level of building panels are installed below a frost line and the panels are installed adjacent and attached to other panels. The panels each have an insulated core attached between an interior sheathing and an exterior sheathing. The insulated core may be expanded polystyrene including graphite and may contain one or more steel studs. Each of the panels may be rectangular having two female edges and two male edges, wherein a male edge and a female edges of adjacent panels are for cooperatively attaching using fasteners. The walls may also have a top plate and a bottom plate, and may have strapping and cladding attached to the exterior sheathing.

摘要: Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels and improved methods for creating the same address deficiencies in the current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels use less concrete and less steel reinforcement and weigh less than current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Additionally, improved tilt-up and precast construction panels have greater insulative properties (both heat and sound) than do current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels require less labor on the construction site, thereby increasing efficiency and profitability of construction crews. Additional advantages of implementations of the invention will become apparent through the following description and by practice of implementations of the invention.

摘要: The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.

摘要: A composite structure joining system and method comprises a structural panel, preferably but not necessarily fabricated from structural composite materials, that further comprises a nesting C-joint feature that facilitates assembly of a plurality of panels of the invention to form a planar structure such as a wall. An embodiment of the present invention comprises a plurality of the panels of the invention, joined together using the C joint of the invention, captured in a frame. The frame structural elements may comprise metals such as aluminum or steel, or may be hand laid or extruded fiberglass as described in more detail below. The invention further comprises methods of manufacturing a plurality of structural panels of the invention. The method of the invention may be used to fabricate intermodal shipping containers that have superior structural and thermal characteristics, are lightweight, resulting in lower transportation costs and lower container costs.

摘要: A medical-gas panel connector system includes a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a horizontal frame member, a vertical frame member connected to the horizontal frame member, and a ceiling integration assembly. The medical-gas panel connector system also includes a medical-gas outlet removably secured to at least one of the horizontal frame member and the vertical frame member via a bracket. In addition, a manifold is removably secured to the ceiling integration assembly, the manifold being at least partially disposed inside the medical-gas panel connector system, and a flexible gas line connects the manifold to the medical-gas outlet. The medical-gas panel connector can be reconfigured and rearranged within a modular wall system.

摘要: Light weight fiber-reinforced polymeric structural building panels and methods; sized, configured for fabrication of non-portable wall structures permanently fixed to natural base. The panel main body, and studs, can be fabricated separately, then assembled to each other to complete panel fabrication. Methods for making the main body are hand lay-up, or pultrusion. Studs are typically pultruded, and subsequently prepared having consistent thickness, flat surface, across the width of the stud end wall which is to be mounted to the main body. Foam blocks are between inner and outer layers of the panel. Foam blocks can be prepared in block clusters before assembly to the main body. In the main body, a fibrous layer is between each pair of next adjacent foam blocks. Intercostals extend “y” and “z” dimensions transverse to the length of the main body. Studs can be mounted to the main body using adhesive, mechanical fasteners, or both.
