    摘要: A composite insulating panel (17) comprises a profiled external sheet (2) having a plurality of raised crowns (3) of generally trapezoidal form, an inner liner sheet (4) and a body of insulating foam (5) between the sheets (2, 4). The panel (1) has an integral heat collecting means for transfer of heat from one source to another. In one case there are inner conduit (21) through which a heat transfer medium is circulated to extract heat from inside a building and outer conduits (8) for collection of solar heat (9). The panel (17) may be used as part of a heating/cooling/ventilation system.

    摘要: An insulated building panel includes a male connector configuration as well as a female connector configuration that are both formed of generally bent surfaces. The male connector as well as the female connector extends outwardly from the side faces of an insulating foam core so that the foam is protected from damage. The male connector is formed by bending the metal edge into a generally U shaped configuration with the outer edge of the U bent downwardly towards the interior of the panel. The female connector is bent back almost towards itself and terminates in a curvilinear gutter portion. The female portion includes a detent edge that defines a shallow receptacle into which a male detent edge is inserted so as to lock the male and female connectors in a nested position, thereby securing two panels together.

    摘要: The present invention includes panels having longitudinal sides configured for lateral engagement of the panels an include a drainage channel hidden by a jut or wing of the panel arranged immediately beside the channel. The channel collects possible infiltrations through joints arranged between the laterally coupled panels. The panels also include a slot at one end and an extension at the other end which, when are coupled together by overlapping and axial sliding. The panels have a space in which a securing staple is arranged to secure the panels to a support structure. The staple is spaced apart from the channel and hidden by the jut of the next lateral panel, so that the securing devices are isolated from the outside. In a preferred embodiment, one of the sides of the panels has a cross section with a smaller cross section than the rest of the panel so that it can be coupled by longitudinal sliding into a slot of complementary form arranged at the other end of the panels. A total watertight seal is obtained without the need to use weather strips and inner seals.

    摘要: A roof panel juncture securely couples in a water sealed, abutting manner facing edges of adjacent, generally planar roof panels along the pitch of the roof. Each panel includes an upper sheet metal facing, a lower vinyl covered wood facing, and a core of rigid foam insulation sandwiched therebetween. The lateral edges of the panel's upper sheet metal facing are each provided with a 90.degree. upturned portion, the upper end portion of which is further bent downward at an acute angle toward the plane of the sheet metal facing to form a hook and drip-edge. The adjacent upturned facing edge portions of abutting panels are adapted to receive in sliding engagement along the lengths thereof a generally concave, elongated, linear roof batten which maintains adjacent roof panel edges in tight-fitting engagement so as to form a water-tight seal therebetween. The adjacent lateral edges of the lower facings of each of the roof panels are adapted to receive a ceiling batten therebetween along the length of the panels. The ceiling batten includes a lower slot along the length thereof which, in combination with a snap-in strip plate, forms an enclosed raceway for wire runs. A blocking spline is inserted in facing edges of adjacent panels and is maintained in position by the ceiling batten and provides a heat conduction break in the roof and reinforces the roof panel juncture.
