Abstract: A surgical table having a tabletop to be rotatable about a trend axis, the trend axis extending in a transverse direction across the tabletop; and an actuator mechanism coupled to the movable framework and arranged to raise and lower the movable framework relative to the column and to raise and lower the trend axis and to rotate the movable framework about the trend axis, and a control mechanism arranged to control the actuator mechanism to cause (i) the height of the trend axis to be translationally variable within a first dimensional range having a lowermost position, at which the trend axis extends through the column, and an uppermost position, at which the trend axis is above the upper end of the column the trend axis and is spaced at spacing height above the upper end of the column, and, simultaneously and/or independently (ii) the location of the trend axis in a lateral direction orthogonal to the trend axis to be translationally variable within a second dimensional range extending between first and second end positions.

Abstract: A reclining seat including, but not limited to, a seat bottom; a seat back, a leg support, and an arm support forming a seat assembly. The seat assembly is configured to be supported on a floor surface and to move between an upright configuration and a flat configuration. The seat back and the leg support are transverse to the seat bottom, and the arm support is transverse to the seat back, when the seat assembly is in the upright configuration. Abstract: Systems and methods for a load sensing system that determines a mass on a bed. The systems generally are in the form of a castor base, particularly one that can be used as part of an adjustable hospital bed. The load sensing system serves to determine the mass of any object or objects (typically a human or animal patient) which is placed on the bed by having the mass create a force on lever arms of a plurality of load cells in the castor base. The load sensing systems are designed to work without hindering the adjustable functionality of the bed and can accurately determine mass (weight) at any position of the bed, and potentially even while the bed is adjusting between positions.

Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a base, a frame supported relative to the base to support a mattress for supporting a patient thereon, and a lift assembly for raising or lowering the frame relative to the base. The lift assembly includes a pair of lifting legs, a pair of crank arms, and an actuator. The actuator has a fixed end mounted relative to the lifting legs and an extendible end and supports a pin connection between the extendible end and the fixed end.
