摘要: A patient support apparatus includes a support frame and a patient support deck operatively attached to the support frame. The patient support deck includes an adjacent pair of deck sections. An actuator is coupled to a first one of the adjacent deck sections, and the actuator, in combination with a deck articulating assembly, moves the first one of the adjacent deck sections relative to the support frame and second one of the adjacent pair of deck sections between an initial configuration and a raised configuration. In the raised configuration, the inner adjacent end of the first deck section is spaced further from the corresponding inner adjacent end of the second deck section, and the outer end opposite the inner adjacent end of the first one of the adjacent deck sections is spaced further away from the support frame, than in the initial configuration.

摘要: A patient turner system is herein disclosed. The system is used in unison with a patient bed to facilitate turning of a patient lying in the bed. The turner system generally includes a base frame, a pair of posts, a pair of bearings that move along the posts, a pair of actuators for moving the bearings, and at least one controller for selectively operating the pair of actuators. A sheet is coupled with the pair of bearings such that movement of the bearings adjusts a position of the sheet to turn a patient in the patient bed.

摘要: A bed system includes: an imaging device; a bed on which the imaging device is to be installed; and a controller configured to process an image acquired by the imaging device to predict a possibility of overturning of a user, in which, when it is determined that a state of the user is a first state, the controller predicts the possibility of overturning of the user based on a first parameter, when it is determined that the state of the user is a second state, the controller predicts the possibility of overturning of the user based on a second parameter, the first state is a state of the user different from the second state, and the first parameter is different from the second parameter.

摘要: There is provided a patient support that may be adjustable in height, width, length or a combination thereof. The patient support may be useable with normal sized patients or with bariatric patients. The patient support has a variety of features to enhance operability and/or functionality, including a width adjustable caster frame, width adjustable deck portions, a width adjustable headboard and an extendible foot board to provide extra length. An enhanced lift mechanism can accommodate bariatric patients and alternative functionality in achieving deck positions improves patient comfort. Various parts of the patient support including deck panels and the footboard may be removed and replaced with ease without complicated connectors.

摘要: A patient support includes a frame, a patient support surface supported at the frame, a display incorporated into the frame, and a user interface incorporated into the frame. The patient support frame includes a controller incorporated into the frame, which has a plurality of prompts stored therein. The user interface is in communication with the controller and may be used to select a selected prompt from the plurality of prompts stored in the controller. When a prompt is selected, the controller generates a display image or text associated with the selected prompt at the display in response to a passage of time or an input to provide a visual prompt to the user.

摘要: The bed consists of a frame, mattress platform and removable bed guard assembly. The bed guard assembly includes a main support which at the lower end has a mounting for connection to the bed, a guard permanently fixed to the main support and a locking mechanism for fixing the main support in relation to the bed. The locking mechanism is located inside the guard assembly and includes a sleeve and blocking element which moves between two positions. In one position the blocking element engages in the sleeve, and in the second position the blocking element is released from the sleeve, where in one of these positions it allows the movement of the main support in relation to the sleeve, and in the second of these positions it prevents the movement of the main support in relation to the sleeve, the movement of the blocking element of the locking mechanism is controlled by the actuator.

摘要: A collapsible bed bath article which is erectable over the mattress of a hospital-style bed and provides a water impervious enclosure having a drain for rinsing a bed bound patient. In one embodiment, side panels of the article are equipped with pockets which are configured to fit over portions of raised side rails of a hospital-style bed. In another embodiment, a pocket for a side rail of a bed may be produced on an ad hoc basis by adhering portions of each side panel to itself, or to the side rail, thus forming a partial encapsulation of the bed side rail.

摘要: An MRI compatible stretcher has a plurality of non-magnetically susceptible and electrically conductive metal members in physically overlapping sections, each having electrically non-conductive spacers separating the overlapping sections to prevent electrical conductivity there between. The insulators break electrical conductivity and thereby prevent the formation of large and continuous metal current loops, while the overlap ensures continuous metal strength and integrity. In particular embodiments, flanges terminate longitudinally extensive metal members, and the electrically non-conductive spacers separate the flanges from adjacent metal members. Fasteners secure the flanges, spacers and adjacent metal members together.
