摘要: A fire suppression apparatus for suppressing a fire in a room includes a housing which attaches to a surface and houses a container filled with a pressurized fire suppressant. A fire sensor monitors a room for one of a presence of a flame or a temperature above a threshold temperature. When either the presence of a flame is or the temperature above the threshold temperature is detected, a timer is started by a control circuit, which then releases the fire suppressant after the timer reaches a predetermined time period. A reset input is provided for terminating the timer and preventing the release of the fire suppressant.

摘要: A remotely-triggered wildfire defense spraying system installed on property with a building, and adapted for spraying the building and property with an environmentally-clean water-based liquid fire inhibitor for defending against wildfire by inhibiting fire ignition and flame spread caused by hot flying wildfire embers created during a wildfire storm. The wildfire defense spraying system includes: a storage tank containing environmentally-clean liquid fire inhibitor comprising an alkali metal salt of a nonpolymeric carboxylic acid, and triethyl citrate (TEC) dissolved in water according to a prespecified formulation, wherein the environmentally-clean water-based liquid fire inhibitor remains stable without the formation of solids at expected operating temperatures, and for immediate spraying on property. A fluid pumping loop having a hydraulic pump system is connected to spray heads and the storage tank, and is operably controlled by a remote control switch. When the hydraulic pump system is remotely activated by a remotely generated trigger signal (e.g. from a mobile smartphone or remote wildfire detection system), the hydraulic pump system pumps environmentally-clean water-based liquid fire inhibitor from the storage tank and through the spray heads to produce a spray pattern of environmentally-clean water-based liquid fire inhibitor covering the combustible surfaces on the property. As water molecules in the sprayed environmentally-clean water-based liquid fire inhibitor evaporate to the environment, fire-inhibiting alkali metal salt crystalline coatings form on the sprayed combustible surfaces, inhibiting fire ignition and flame spread in the presence of wildfire embers.

摘要: Fire suppression systems and methods are provided. The system can include an electronically activated sprinkler (EAS) interlock system to protect a target zone. The EAS interlock system can include a controller. The controller can be communicably coupled with a first detector and a second detector. The first detector can be disposed in an area outside the target zone. The second detector can be disposed inside the target zone. The controller can receive an input signal from the first detector indicating an event occurred prior to or in an absence of receipt of an input signal from the second detector. The controller can provide a hold command to at least temporarily inhibit a sprinkler inside the target zone from actuation based on receipt of the input signal from the first detector prior to or in the absence of receipt of the input signal from the second detector.

摘要: The present invention relates to a novel fire suppression device for prohibiting fire and preventing same from spreading. The device is compact and is configured to autonomously release type A or type B fire-retardant foam for covering a structure such as a building or portions thereof. The device includes a plurality of components, including a water reservoir, a foam concentrate reservoir, an oxygen reservoir, and an aerator for forming fire-retardant foam. In one embodiment, the device includes a sensor for detecting excessive temperature, smoke, or fire for autonomously actuating the device. In another embodiment, the device is manually activated by a user. The device can be used with new or existing buildings, designated fire (i.e., fireplace) spaces, and/or cook areas as well.

摘要: An improved system detects an environmental anomaly in a shipping container and initiates a mediation response through a generated layered alert notification. The system includes sensor-based ID nodes associated with packages within the container, and a command node mounted to the container communicating with the ID nodes and an external transceiver on a vehicle transporting the container. The command node is programmed to detect sensor data from the ID nodes; compare the sensor data to package environmental thresholds in context data related to each ID node; detect the environmental anomaly when the comparison indicates an environmental condition for at least one package exceeds its environmental threshold; responsively generate a layered alert notification identifying a mediation recipient and mediation action, and establishing a mediation response priority based upon the comparison; and transmit the layered alert notification to the transceiver unit to initiate a mediation response related to the mediation action.
