    摘要: A fire suppression nozzle includes a first support plate, a conduit including an inlet and an outlet, and a baffle made of a porous material extending from the first support plate and at least partially surrounding the outlet to form an interior in fluid communication with the outlet and an end opening. The conduit is configured to receive an inert gas at the inlet and provide the inert gas to the interior of the baffle via the outlet such that the inert gas exits the outlet and passes at least partially through the baffle. The nozzle includes a sound absorbing member extending across the end opening to at least partially enclose the interior, and also includes a sound absorbing insert composed of a sound absorbing material and a second support plate arranged against an outer face of the sound absorbing insert and coupled to the first support plate.

    摘要: A fire suppression nozzle includes a first conduit including an inlet and an outlet, a second conduit coupled to the first and including a plurality of outlets spaced apart from a second plurality of outlets. The nozzle includes a first annular sound absorbing member positioned on a first side of the outlet and a second annular sound absorbing member positioned on a second side of the outlet wherein the first conduit provides inert gas to the second conduit. The inert gas exits the outlet in a first direction and a first portion of the inert gas is directed toward the first plurality of outlets in a second direction and a second portion is directed toward the second plurality of outlets in a third direction opposite the second direction, wherein the second and third directions are generally perpendicular to the first direction.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a spray of microjets emanating at an inclined angle from nozzles comprised in a substantially planar membrane layer. A spray nozzle unit for spraying a plurality of fluidic microjets from a pressurized liquid comprises a substantially planar (semiconductor) support having an upstream surface and a downstream surface, and a spray membrane layer arranged on the downstream surface of the support. The spray membrane layer comprises a plurality of nozzle orifices each configured for spraying a fluidic microjet in a Rayleigh regime. Thee support defines a cavity extending from the upstream surface to the spray membrane layer. The cavity is in fluid communication with each one of the nozzle orifices for supplying the pressurized liquid to the nozzle orifices. A position of the nozzle orifices, seen along a direction perpendicular to the downstream surface, is offset in respect of a centre of the cavity. At least two of the nozzle orifices exhibit a different offset in respect of the centre of the cavity.

A spray nozzle is secured within the housing for dispersing the fire retardant agent through the dispersion vents, and a connecting means is disclosed, positioned on the housing for securing the extinguisher assembly to a structure. An adapter further comprised of a first end fastened to the spray nozzle and a second end connected to an extinguisher tank is also disclosed to provide the said connection, therefore the fire retardant agent is expelled directly from the extinguisher tank through to the dispersion vents.
