摘要: A laser emitting visible light is used to project geometric shapes onto the floor of a stage or set at locations corresponding to locations of virtual objects in a computer simulation. The stage or set may be a motion capture (MoCap) set with IR reflectors on the set and actors. The visible laser light does not interfere with the MoCap and allows a real world actor to visually understand where objects in a computer simulation are emulated to be.

摘要: Various embodiments are directed towards employing one or more physical sensors arranged on or in proximity to a video game player to obtain biofeedback measures that are then useable to dynamically modify a state of play of a video game. The sensors may be connected or even unconnected to the game player, replace, or otherwise augment traditional physical game controllers. The sensors gather various biofeedback measures and provide such measures to a biofeedback application programming interface (API). Before and/or during video game play, the video game queries the biofeedback API to request inferences about the game player's state of arousal. The response to the query is then used to modify the state of the video game play. Where the video game is a multi-player video game, biofeedback measures from other game players may also be obtained and used to further modify the state of the video game play.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to virtual reality simulation, and more specifically, in some implementations, to devices, systems, and methods for use in a virtual reality sports simulation. A system for virtual reality simulation may include an accessory (e.g., one or more of a bat, a glove, or a helmet) for interacting with a virtual reality environment. The accessory may provide the user with haptic feedback that emulates sensations that the user would experience when playing a live-action sport to provide the user with a more meaningful and realistic experience when playing a virtual reality game. Further, virtual reality simulations disclosed herein may include incorporating data from a live-action event (e.g., a live-action sporting event) into a virtual reality environment to provide a user with a realistic experience.

In some examples, a computer-implemented method includes: generating a virtual trip including one or more virtual occurrences with the associated one or more outcomes; presenting a trip success prediction, a predicted change in vehicle condition, a first user-selectable command, and a second user-selectable command to the user; upon receiving the user's selection of the first user-selectable command, updating the character profile by at least initiating the virtual trip with the virtual character; upon receiving the user's selection of the second user-selectable command: updating the one or more outcomes according to a predetermined adjustment; and updating the character profile by at least initiating the virtual trip with the virtual character based on the updated one or more outcomes.

摘要: Systems and techniques for enhancing the physical games with augmented reality is described. A system identifies a characteristic of a physical object that is located on a physical surface. The system obtains, based on the characteristic, information indicative of a rule set for the game and a state of the game based on the characteristic. A game engine is initialized based on the rule set and game state. The game engine generates a subsequent state for the game. The system renders, based on the subsequent state, an augmented reality display that incorporates the physical surface and physical object.

摘要: A computer program product, system, and computer-implemented method for brokering an online racing event between a plurality of drivers and storing data relating to modifications of performance vehicles in a virtual garage. The method includes creation of a virtual vehicles from data structures of included components, and historical data relating to aftermarket components and accessories added to the vehicle. Drivers may be matched together using a matching algorithm, and racing data gathered in real time during a racing event is used to determine a relative performance rating for each driver. An available pool of drivers is determined based on said driver's performance rating and a driver selection criteria.

In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, of identifying the simulated object that is available for access based on location data. The location data can include a location of a device in a time period, the device for use by a user to access the simulated object. One embodiment includes, verifying an identity of the user; and in response to determining that the user is authorized to access the simulated object, providing the simulated object for presentation to the user via the device.

摘要: A method for quasi-random placement of a virtual item in an XR space includes: accessing a previously generated spatial mapping mesh (SMM) of the XR space; compiling a record from the SMM of open spaces between surfaces of physical elements in the XR space, with corresponding positions and dimensions; selecting from the open spaces: a spawn position for a virtual character, and a random set of other positions, filtering the random set to form a subset. The method then performs a collision analysis to assign a score to each position in the subset partly based on accessibility to that position for the virtual character beginning from the spawn position; and places the virtual item at a position in the subset having a score as high or higher than all other positions in the subset. The method is carried out before user interaction with any virtual element in the XR space.
