摘要: Systems and methods for reducing alarm nuisance behaviors in an electrical system are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a method for reducing alarm nuisance behaviors includes processing electrical measurement data from or derived from energy-related signals captured or derived by at least one intelligent electronic device in the electrical system to identify events in the electrical system, and alarms triggered in response to the identified events and/or other events in or related to the electrical system. Information related to at least the identified events and the identified alarms may be aggregated, and the aggregated information may be analyzed to identify at least one alarm nuisance behavior. At least one action may be taken or performed based on or in response to the at least one identified alarm nuisance behavior.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring the effects of conductive dust deposits that compromise the ability of a trip unit to accurately detect AC current in a circuit interrupter. When a Rogowski coil is used as a current sensor in the circuit interrupter and the trip unit processes the output of the Rogowski coil using a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) processing circuit, the DC component of the processing circuit output signal can be analyzed to determine whether any conductive dust has formed unintended electrical pathways on the PCBA and compromised the ability of the PCBA to accurately measure AC current in the circuit interrupter. It can be determined that such unintended electrical pathways have formed when the DC component of the processing circuit output either exceeds a predetermined threshold or has increased by a significant amount after opening of the separable contacts.

摘要: Multifunction smart door devices may be part of a system of multifunction smart door devices installed within or near stateroom doors of a cruise ship. Each smart door device can control access to a stateroom based on facial recognition or a wireless credential and can perform other functions such as controlling stateroom personalization features, providing an electronic peephole function, allowing controlled access for authorized crew members, accommodating remote unlocking, and providing notifications. Data obtained by the smart door devices can be provided to the cruise operator for service, safety, or security purposes, such as for anonymized foot traffic analysis, hazard detection, and stateroom access auditing. Smart door device functionality may be implemented in part by customers' mobile devices.

摘要: A system for measuring a fill level of a trash can comprises a processor operable to receive a distance measurement from a network, wherein a sensor communicatively coupled to the processor through the network is operable to determine the distance measurement. The processor is operable to calculate a percentage of waste in the trash can based on the received distance measurement and a difference between a first setpoint and a second setpoint. The processor is operable to determine a threshold for a first period of time based on entity information. The processor is operable to compare the percentage of waste in the trash can to the threshold for the first period of time and to send an alert for display on a user device when the percentage of waste is greater than the threshold for the first period of time.

摘要: A method for predicting an acceleration of the degradation in capacity of an electrochemical device. The method includes obtaining point measurement data from a function linking a voltage across the terminals of the electrochemical device to a state of charge of the electrochemical device, and a measurement of the capacity of the electrochemical device, calculating the derivative of the function and identifying a peak in the variation of the derivative, due to an inflection in the variation of the function and characterizing a quantity representative of an anode capacity of the electrochemical device, estimating a width of the peak and comparing a combination of the peak width and the quantity representative of the anode capacity, to the measurement of the capacity of the electrochemical device, and if the combination is less than the capacity of the electrochemical device, predicting an acceleration of the degradation in capacity of the electrochemical device.

摘要: A system for monitoring and controlling a fluid flow network has a plurality of flow control valves, each operable manually by a removable key engageable with a valve spindle. The system includes a database that records the location of the valve and a turn profile for each valve in the network. A mobile communications device detachably mounted on the key transmits data to the database and receives data from the database, and includes orientation means with at least one of a gyroscope, an accelerometer, a compass, and a processor. The processor is controlled by a software program to (i) communicate with the central database and to receive characteristics for the valve at the transmitted position, (ii) receive signals from the orientation means and calculate the instantaneous rotational speed of the valve spindle and its amount of rotation, and (iii) control rotation of the valve spindle.

摘要: A warning system for warning pedestrians and other road users prior to a collision with a charging cable for an electric automobile. Charging cables run from a power source to a vehicle. The vehicle is charged using a charging cable. The vehicle being charged has the information that it is currently charging. It also has sensors that can identify the course of the cable, depending on the resolution and orientation of the sensors. This can be implemented using image processing algorithms or machine learning. The parked vehicle can also detect other road users by means of the onboard sensor system. If an impending collision between the road user and the charging cable is determined from these data, the road user is warned, using any of acoustic warning, or visual warning.
