摘要: A system for monitoring and controlling a fluid flow network has a plurality of flow control valves, each operable manually by a removable key engageable with a valve spindle. The system includes a database that records the location of the valve and a turn profile for each valve in the network. A mobile communications device detachably mounted on the key transmits data to the database and receives data from the database, and includes orientation means with at least one of a gyroscope, an accelerometer, a compass, and a processor. The processor is controlled by a software program to (i) communicate with the central database and to receive characteristics for the valve at the transmitted position, (ii) receive signals from the orientation means and calculate the instantaneous rotational speed of the valve spindle and its amount of rotation, and (iii) control rotation of the valve spindle.

摘要: A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both. The partition into slices may be overlapping or non-overlapping, and the same slice (or the whole content) may be fetched via multiple tunnel devices.

摘要: A cold water cabinet (41) comprising a valve housing (22) intended for an ingoing pressure above 5 bars. The valve housing (22) is moulded in one unit and comprising therein a shut-off valve (2), a check valve (8), a control plug (12), a filter (13), and a combined pressure reduction valve (63) and water stop valve (30). The combined pressure reduction valve (63) and water stop valve (30) having a first spindle (26) with a plunger (28) at a first end. An opening between said plunger (28) and an associated seat (27) being controlled by a second spindle (29) and an adjustable spring (62) arranged at an opposite second end of said first spindle (26). The second spindle (29) being coupled to a motor (31), which is moving the plunger (28) against the seat (27) to close the water stop valve (30) when the motor receives a signal from at least one water leak sensor.

摘要: A hydrant includes a standpipe, a discharge nozzle, and a subterranean valve operated by a valve stem. The operating stem is hollow and has an inlet at its lower end and a drain outlet at its upper end, thereby providing a path to flush the sampling station when the subterranean valve is shut and the discharge nozzle and drain outlet are open by applying a differential pressure. The subterranean valve includes a cartridge having a fixed portion and a moveable portion. The fixed portion is fixed to the end of the stem and turns with it but does not move axially. The moveable portion moves axially but does not rotate. The fixed and moveable portions are connected to each other by a threaded connector. The cartridge, including a valve plug, a valve seat, and a threaded operating mechanism can be removed simply by removing a top cap on the standpipe.

摘要: A diaphragm pressure reducer has internally a shutter regulating the fluid passage between an inlet and an outlet; the shutter is pushed to open by a spring which is contrasted by an elastic diaphragm on which the fluid pressure acts to push the shutter to close; the diaphragm is placed between a first chamber in which the pressurized fluid is present that acts on the diaphragm and a second chamber communicating with the outside through an air vent passage; at the air vent passage an elastically deformable element is arranged that normally allows air to flow in the air vent passage, but in the event of rupture of the diaphragm through the thrust of the water pressure is deformed and moves so as to shut the aforesaid air vent passage and prevent water exiting the diaphragm pressure reducer.

The backwater flood detection device detects backwater flow events including backflow events from a sewer line as well as wastewater blockage events that can result in wastewater backflow into a building. An exemplary computer-implemented method may include (1) receiving, from a sensor disposed proximate to a fluid flow device, a vibration signal; (2) determining a current flow rate within the fluid flow device based upon the vibration signal; (3) detecting a status change of the fluid flow device based upon a comparison between the current flow rate and a prior flow rate; (4) determining a recommended remediation action to adjust the current flow rate to the prior flow rate; and (5) generating an alert signal indicating the status change and the recommended remediation action.
