摘要: The present disclosure provides a left and right wheel determination method, a wheel pressure monitoring chip and system, and related apparatuses. The left and right wheel determination method includes: obtaining a time duration for a wheel to rotate for a predetermined number of revolutions after the wheel being detected as rotating; sampling centrifugal acceleration and tangential acceleration of the wheel within the time duration; determining an overrun-lag relationship between the centrifugal acceleration and the tangential acceleration of the wheel based on a serial number of a sampling time-point corresponding to the centrifugal acceleration and a serial number of a sampling time-point corresponding to the tangential acceleration; and determining the wheel to be of a left wheel or a right wheel based on the overrun-lag relationship between the centrifugal acceleration and the tangential acceleration of the wheel.

A location identification unit and wireless communication device are positioned within the controller body, and a plurality of hub sensor assemblies are positioned along the axle hubs of the trailer. Each of the assemblies including functionality for monitoring and reporting the temperature of a respective axle hub, and the pressure of the trailer tire secured to the respective axle hub. A process specific serial forwarder device communicatively links each of the hub sensor assemblies to the system controller. A trailer diagnostic and monitoring application for execution on a remote computing device includes functionality for communicating with the wireless communication device to receive trailer location information, tire pressure readings and axle hub temperatures.

摘要: Techniques are described for using one or more wireless host devices to perform tire localization of TPMS sensor data by determining received signal strength indicator (RSSI) signatures that are unique to the wireless communication channel between a host device and each TPMS sensor. RSSI signatures represents a periodic variation of the wireless communication channel between a host device on the car body and a TPMS sensor in a rotating tire. Characteristics of the communication channel is a function of the wheel angle and is periodic with wheel rotations. The RSSI signatures may be created by matching RSSI measurements of packets received by the host device from a TPMS sensor with wheel angles derived from wheel speed sensor (WSS) data of the anti-lock braking system (ABS). The RSSI signatures are a unique marker of each wheel that may be used to identify the locations of the TPMS sensors for tire localization.
