摘要: An air conditioner may include a case having a supply channel therein through which external air flows into an interior space; a first heat exchanger disposed on the supply channel and in which the air and refrigerant exchange heat; a second heat exchanger disposed at a downstream side of the first heat exchanger in the supply channel, and in which the air and refrigerant exchange heat; and a refrigerant distributor that sends refrigerant to the first heat exchanger or the second heat exchanger. The refrigerant distributor may include a liquid pipe connected with the first heat exchanger and through which liquid-state refrigerant flows; a first gas pipe connected to the first heat exchanger and the second heat exchanger and through which gas-state refrigerant flows; a second gas pipe through which gas-state refrigerant discharged from the first heat exchanger flows; a first gas pipe valve disposed on the first gas pipe and that sends refrigerant flowing through the first gas pipe to the first heat exchanger or the second heat exchanger; and a second gas pipe valve disposed on the second gas pipe and that opens and closes the second gas pipe.

摘要: Methods, systems and devices for managing humidity within an HVAC system including a nanostructured desiccant porous material configured to adsorb water from an inlet stream at a first air pressure and to release water from that material when subjected to a second air pressure when the second air pressure is lower than the first air pressure is located within a particular location so as to allow for the passage of wet air over the materials and allow adsorption of the water on to the material. When coupled with a vacuum pump water can be collected and released from the materials and the system, regenerating the material for future use and removing water from a stream at a significantly lower cost than existing processes.

摘要: A dehumidification system for use with a dehumidification refrigerant to dry ambient air as part of a heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (“HVAC”) system that includes an HVAC condenser as part of an HVAC refrigeration circuit. The dehumidification system may include a dehumidification refrigeration circuit separate from the HVAC refrigeration circuit. The dehumidification circuit may include a dehumidification compressor, a dehumidification condenser, a dehumidification expansion device, and a dehumidification evaporator. The dehumidification condenser may be positioned in close proximity to the HVAC condenser such that airflow across the HVAC condenser also flows across the dehumidification condenser. The dehumidification evaporator may be spaced apart from the dehumidification condenser such that airflow across the dehumidification evaporator does not flow across the dehumidification condenser.

摘要: An HVAC system includes a single compressor, a pair of condensers, a reheat heat exchanger, an evaporator, and an expansion device. Within the system, the refrigerant exiting the compressor is separated into two portions. In the cooling mode, the first and second portions of the refrigerant are directed from the compressor through the two condensers in parallel. In the reheat mode, the first portion of the refrigerant is directed through the first condenser, while the second portion of the refrigerant is directed through the reheat heat exchanger. The system also may include a head pressure control device that is designed to maintain the compressor discharge pressure within a desired range by adjusting the condenser fan speed.

摘要: A method is provided for controlling a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The method includes measuring a temperature and controlling a compressor of the HVAC system. The temperature is measured by a temperature sensor located between a metering device of the HVAC system and an evaporator coil of the HVAC system. The temperature is representative of a refrigerant temperature. The refrigerant temperature is a temperature of a refrigerant fluid flowing from the metering device to the evaporator coil. The compressor is controlled by control circuitry that is configured to perform the controlling in a dehumidify mode based, at least in part, on a value of a humidity parameter of air of an airflow through an evaporator coil and a reheat coil, where the value is determined using the temperature.

摘要: An energy recovery ventilation unit includes an energy recovery ventilation core and a dehumidification system comprising an evaporation unit and a condensing unit. The energy recovery ventilation core receives a first and second airflow and discharges the first and second airflow after the first and second airflow experience heat and mass transfer. The evaporation unit generates a first output airflow comprising a lower relative humidity than the first airflow and directs the first output airflow into a building. The condensing unit generates a second output airflow at a higher temperature than the second airflow and discharges the second output airflow to an unconditioned space.
