摘要: The invention relates to a cooling unit for storing temperature-sensitive goods at a desired cooling temperature, comprising a cooling compartment (9) for storing the temperature-sensitive goods, an insulation (1) separating the cooling compartment (9) from an ambient space (10), a multi-stage cascade refrigeration system adapted to cool down the cooling compartment (9) to the desired cooling temperature and/or maintain the desired cooling temperature in the cooling compartment (9), said multi-stage cascade refrigeration system comprising at least a high-temperature refrigeration cycle (11) and a low-temperature refrigeration cycle (12), whereas said low-temperature refrigeration cycle (12) comprises a low-temperature evaporator (13) arranged to absorb heat from the cooling compartment (9), and whereas the high-temperature refrigeration cycle (11) comprises a high-temperature condenser (14) arranged to reject heat to the ambient space (10), whereas a high-temperature evaporator (3) of the high-temperature refrigeration cycle (11) is thermally coupled to a low-temperature condenser (4) of the low-temperature refrigeration cycle (12) in order to form an intercooler, whereas said high-temperature evaporator (3) and/or said low-temperature condenser (4) are/is thermally coupled to the insulation (1).

摘要: Provided is a chiller and system that may be utilized in a supercritical fluid chromatography method, wherein a non-polar solvent may replace a portion or all of a polar solvent for the purpose of separating or extracting desired sample molecules from a combined sample/solvent stream. The system may reduce the amount of polar solvent necessary for chromatographic separation and/or extraction of desired samples. The system may incorporate a supercritical fluid chiller, a supercritical fluid pressure-equalizing vessel and a supercritical fluid cyclonic separator. The supercritical fluid chiller allows for efficient and consistent pumping of liquid-phase gases employing off-the-shelf HPLC pumps. The pressure equalizing vessel allows the use of off-the-shelf HPLC column cartridges. The system may further incorporate the use of one or more disposable cartridges containing silica gel or other suitable medium. The system may also utilize an open loop cooling circuit using fluids with a positive Joule-Thomson coefficient.

摘要: An HVAC system includes a single compressor, a pair of condensers, a reheat heat exchanger, an evaporator, and an expansion device. Within the system, the refrigerant exiting the compressor is separated into two portions. In the cooling mode, the first and second portions of the refrigerant are directed from the compressor through the two condensers in parallel. In the reheat mode, the first portion of the refrigerant is directed through the first condenser, while the second portion of the refrigerant is directed through the reheat heat exchanger. The system also may include a head pressure control device that is designed to maintain the compressor discharge pressure within a desired range by adjusting the condenser fan speed.
