摘要: A method of operating a HVAC system is provided. The method includes transferring heat between airflow and a heating element in the duct system. The heating element is configured to receive a fuel and ignite the fuel to heat the heating element. The method includes measuring a change in at least one gas property value of the airflow in the duct system using a leak detection sensor, where the change in the at least one gas property value is indicative of a gas leaked into the duct system. The method includes determining a concentration of the leaked gas based at least in part upon the change in the at least one gas property value and determining that the concentration as measured by the leak detection sensor has a negative value, where the negative value is indicative of the leaked gas comprising fuel.

Specifically, disclosed are an air purifying apparatus and a method for controlling the same, in which the air purifying apparatus includes: a fan 100 for discharging air; a sensor 200; and a controller 300 that controls a rotation of the fan 100, in which the controller 300 includes: a variation calculation module 310 for calculating a rotation speed of the fan 100, a variation in the rotation speed of the fan 100, and a variation in a concentration of particles measured by the sensor 200, for a preset time interval from a reference time; a standard score calculation module 320 for calculating, by using a preset first method, the calculated rotation speed of the fan 100, the calculated variation in the rotation speed of the fan 100, and the calculated variation in the concentration of particles for the preset time interval from the reference time respectively as standard score values for the preset time interval from the reference time, summing up the standard score values, and repeating the calculating and summing to calculate a plurality of summed standard score values; a learning module 330 for storing, as optimum values of the reference time, the rotation speed of the fan 100, the variation in the rotation speed of the fan 100, and the variation in the concentration of particles, which correspond to a highest value among the plurality of summed standard score values; and an artificial intelligence control module 340 for controlling, at every reference time, the rotation speed of the fan 100 in accordance with the rotation speed of the fan 100 corresponding to the optimum values stored in the learning module 330.

摘要: In an air conditioner, a drain extraction unit and a refrigerant pipe connecting unit may be disposed in a blocking region in which a discharge port is not provided so that a size of the discharge port may be secured and the discharge port may be uniformly disposed, thereby generating uniform airflow in a room. In a lower housing formed in a circular shape, some of components inside an indoor unit of the air conditioner may be disposed in a protrusion portion that protrudes from the circular housing, thereby facilitating the installation of the air conditioner. A condensate water collecting space disposed outside the housing may be provided in a drain tray, thereby efficiently preventing a leakage due to condensate water generated outside the housing. The housing, the drain tray, and the cover member of the air conditioner may be coupled by a coupling member coupled outside.

摘要: A problem to be solved by the present disclosure is to realize a fan unit capable of determining occurrence or non-occurrence of a backflow during operation. In a second unit, a second controller calculates front-rear differential pressure by substituting a rotation speed and a volume of air or a wind speed that can be acquired in real time into a relational expression. The relational expression derives, from two values of the rotation speed, the volume of air or the wind speed, and the front-rear differential pressure, the remaining one value. Then, the second controller determines that a backflow occurs if the calculated front-rear differential pressure is within a range that cannot occur under a normal condition. Therefore, the occurrence of a backflow can be detected without using an expensive pressure sensor or a directional wind speed sensor.

In one or more embodiments, the indoor unit is electrically coupled to the blower, the A2L control board, and the outdoor unit. Also, in one or more embodiments, the A2L control board is also electrically coupled to the blower and the one or more A2L sensors.
