摘要: A tire air pressure monitoring system for a vehicle includes: transmitters in wheels for transmitting a frame related to a tire air pressure at a regular transmission period; and an in-vehicle receiver having an electric wave reception unit that receives the frame and a specific electric wave from a mobile terminal and a control unit that detects a decrease in the tire air pressure. The control unit switches to a specific mode in which the electric wave reception unit receives the specific electric wave at every first intermittent period while a starting switch is off, and switches from the specific mode or a power saving mode to a monitoring mode in which the electric wave reception unit receives the frame at every second intermittent period while the starting switch is off.

摘要: A method of communicating with a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor module includes transmitting, by the TPMS sensor module, a TPMS signal that includes a sensor identifier of the TPMS sensor module; performing, by an interface device, an angle of arrival measurement on the TPMS signal to whether an angular direction thereof with respect to an antenna array of the interface device is within a predetermined angular window; and determining, by the interface device, whether or not to communicate with the TPMS sensor module including establishing communication with the TPMS sensor module on a condition that the angular direction is within the predetermined angular window and not establishing communication with the TPMS sensor module on a condition that the determined angular direction is not within the predetermined angular window.

摘要: Systems and methods for detecting and removing erroneous tire pressure values are provided. The method involves operating at least one processor to: receive tire pressure data comprising a time series of tire pressure values; simplify the tire pressure data by removing at least some of the tire pressure values that satisfy a predetermined interpolation error threshold; detect, using a trained machine learning classifier, at least one erroneous tire pressure value in the tire pressure data, each erroneous tire pressure value being detected based on the erroneous tire pressure value and a plurality of lagging tire pressure values consecutively trailing the erroneous tire pressure value; clean the tire pressure data by removing the at least one erroneous tire pressure value; and transmit the tire pressure data to a fleet management system, whereby the at least one erroneous tire pressure value is not transmitted to the fleet management system.

摘要: A modular TPMS sensor with an externally replaceable battery is disclosed. The valve stem facilitates battery replacement with a valve stem core designed to removably secure a battery within the valve stem and a sensor configured with an electrical connection designed to connect the sensor to power from the battery. The valve stem has an interior cavity configured to retain the valve stem core. The battery may be at least partially retained within the valve stem. The removable sensor may be configured to connect to an end of the valve stem distal from the valve stem core. The electrical connection may comprise a spring-loaded terminal configured to connect or disconnect the sensor and battery as the battery is inserted or removed from the valve stem through a valve stem end proximal to the valve stem core, permitting battery replacement without removing or deflating a tire configured with the sensor.
