摘要: The vehicle control system/method for adapting a control function based on a user profile may comprise: a gesture recognition module; a user profile module; a function control module; a processor; a non-transitory storage element coupled to the processor; encoded instructions stored in the non-transitory storage element, wherein the encoded instructions when implemented by the processor, configure the system to: identify a user; retrieve a user profile for the identified user; receive at a gesture recognition module, an input indicating a gesture from the user; identify a control function request corresponding to the gesture input; send a verification of the control function request; and receive at a function control module characteristics parsed from the user profile that effect the control function request by the user profile module to adapt a control function command for an adapted control function output by the function control module.

摘要: A content selector switch selects, based on a received request for content from a particular remote control device, a multicast network on which to provide the requested particular content. Each multicast network channel of the plurality of multicast network channels is mapped to a respective video channel and each remote control device in the facility (e.g., hotel) is mapped to a respective video channel that the TV controlled by the remote control device stays tuned to. The content selector switch performs the selection by identifying which remote control device in the facility sent the request and selecting the multicast network channel that is mapped to the RF video channel the identified remote control device is mapped to. The content selector switch then provides the specific content on the selected multicast network channel to a multicast-to-channel output device that provides the content on the RF video channel for the TV tuned to that RF video channel to display.

摘要: A system and method for bandwidth management by controlling the bit rate of a signal stream in real time according to available link bandwidth. Applications include multiple-channel video data streams over a limited-bandwidth link such as a Digital Subscriber Line. A video signal is transrated at the head end to multiple streams having different bit rates, by a multirating device which sends the multiple streams over a network, along with metadata containing information about the data structure and parameters of the streams. At the network access edge, a demultirating device uses the metadata to select the stream with the highest video quality whose bit rate does not exceed the available bandwidth of the end-user's access link. This scheme provides multiple unicast signals to different end-users in place of a single multicast signal, supports multiple high-definition channels over a limited bandwidth link, and is compatible with standard encryption methods.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for distributing content over a local area network (LAN) between a first device within the LAN and a second device within the LAN. A first device multicasts a LAN-specific content beacon over the LAN. The LAN-specific content beacon includes an identifier uniquely identifying the first device. A second device sends a response to the LAN-specific content beacon requesting secondary content to be integrated into a display of the second device. The first device generates the secondary content based on profile information associated with the second device and unicasts the secondary content to the second device for integration into primly content being generated for display at the second device.

摘要: A media flow transport security manager of a hybrid cloud-based media production system having a network orchestrator and an extensible resource manager (ERM) includes a firewall communicatively coupled to a computing platform having a hardware processor and a memory storing a security software code. The hardware processor executes the security software code to communicate with the network orchestrator to identify multicast production media flow(s) for processing in a cloud-based virtual production environment, and to communicate with the ERM to obtain an identifier of each cloud-based resource used for processing cloud production media flow(s) corresponding to the identified multicast production media flow(s). The hardware processor also executes the security software code to receive an alert that the cloud production media flow(s) have been processed to generate corresponding post-production cloud media flow(s), and to route, using the obtained identifier of the cloud-based resource(s), the post-production cloud media flow(s) through the firewall.

摘要: A content management resource transmits a received digital data stream in a respective network data channel to one or more subscribers. The content management resource receives an emergency notification control signal, which indicates occurrence of an emergency message. In response to receiving the emergency notification control signal, the content management resource transmits the emergency message in the digital data channel to the one or more subscribers in lieu of transmitting the received digital data stream of content in the data channel to the one or more subscriber. Thus, a subscriber can tune to a particular channel to play back selected content and be apprised, via receipt of the message over the particular channel, of a corresponding condition such as an emergency.
