摘要: A method for renovation of a consumed anode in a metal-air cell without dismantling the cell according to embodiments of the present invention comprising circulating electrolyte through the cell to evacuate used slurry from the cell, circulating electrolyte with fresh slurry into the cell and allowing sedimentation of the fresh slurry inside the cell to form an anode and compacting the slurry to reduce the gaps between its particles. A meta-air cell enabling renovation of a consumed anode without dismantling the cell defining first outer face of the cell, air cathode layer adjacent the porous wall, separator wall disposed on the inner face of the air cathode layer, cell space volume to contain electrolyte and metal granules slurry, current collector layer to form an anode, made of current conductive material disposed in the space and flexible wall defining a second outer face of the cell wherein the flexible wall is adapted to be pushed towards inside of the cell subject to pressure applied to its outer face, thereby to reduce the volume of the space.

摘要: A flexible battery includes at least one electrochemical cell for generating an electrical current, including a cathode collector layer, a cathode layer, an anode layer, and an optional anode collector layer, some or all of which are formed of a dried or cured ink. A first substrate includes a pair of opposed side portions. A first electrode contact is provided that is electrically coupled to the cathode collector layer and is disposed along one of the pair of opposed side portions of the first substrate, and a second electrode contact is provided that is electrically coupled to the anode layer and is disposed along the other of the pair of opposed side portions of the first substrate. The cathode collector layer includes a geometry having a height and a width such that the number of squares is approximately 5 or less.

摘要: An alkaline primary battery includes: a positive electrode 2 containing manganese dioxide; an alkaline electrolyte containing zinc oxide; a gelled negative electrode 3 containing zinc alloy particles, the alkaline electrolyte, and a gelling agent; and a negative electrode current collector 6 inserted in the gelled negative electrode. The gelled negative electrode 3 has a predetermined malleability such that when 4.0 g of the gelled negative electrode 3 formed into a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 15 mm is extended with 200 g of a load through 10 g of a flat plate, and then an upper surface of the extended gelled negative electrode 3 is approximated to a circle, this circle has a diameter ranging from 24 mm to 36 mm, both inclusive.

摘要: A fuel cell catalyst includes a carbon-containing core, and an active metal shell attached to the carbon core by an ionomer. The catalyst has a high catalyst utility, and facilitates a highly efficient and high power fuel cell. The ionomer is disposed between the active metal and the carbon core. The carbon core and the active metal are present in a mixing ratio ranging from 0.0001:99.9999 wt % to 0.05:99.95 wt %.
