摘要: A method of delivering a glutinous substance from a cartridge to an applicator comprises receiving the cartridge inside a sleeve through an inlet of the sleeve when a pressure cap, coupled to the sleeve proximate the inlet, is in an open position. The method additionally comprises moving the pressure cap into a closed position to sealingly couple the pressure cap with a trailing end of the cartridge. The method also comprises selectively causing an automated coupler to automatically sealingly couple the applicator with a leading end of the cartridge when the cartridge is inside the sleeve and the pressure cap is in the closed position. The method further comprises applying pressure to the glutinous substance in the cartridge through a first pressure input of the pressure cap to urge the glutinous substance from the cartridge into the applicator.

摘要: An applicator for delivering a glutinous substance to a workpiece from an end-effector is disclosed. The applicator comprises a body and a plunger. The plunger comprises a gate, movable within an outlet portion of a first channel of the body between, inclusively, an open position, allowing the glutinous substance to flow from an inlet of the first channel to an outlet of the first channel and a closed position, preventing the glutinous substance from flowing from the inlet of the first channel to the outlet of the first channel. The applicator further comprises an actuator, selectively operable to move the plunger such that the gate moves between, inclusively, the open position and the closed position.

Additionally, the brush (400) comprises a tube (430), having a first end (411) and a second end (412), opposite the first end (411). The tube (430) comprises a first channel (408), coaxial with the rotational axis (438) and having an inlet (409) and an outlet (480). Furthermore, the tube (430) extends from the body (402) in a first direction (A) along the rotational axis (438), to the second end (412). The brush (400) further comprises bristles (420) that surround a portion of the tube (430), wherein the bristles (420) extend from the body (402) in the first direction (A).

The applicator (102) further comprises a retainer (156), configured to maintain the coupler (154) interlocked with the body (110) and with the tip (160).

摘要: A method of coating a honeycomb monolith substrate comprising a plurality of channels with a liquid comprising a catalyst component comprises the steps of: (i) holding a honeycomb monolith substrate substantially vertically; (ii) introducing a pre-determined volume of the liquid into the substrate via open ends of the channels at a lower end of the substrate; (iii) sealingly retaining the introduced liquid within the substrate; (iv) inverting the substrate containing the retained liquid; and (v) applying a vacuum to open ends of the channels of the substrate at the inverted, lower end of the substrate to draw the liquid along the channels of the substrate.

摘要: A method of coating a workpiece is provided. In the method, a coating device is provided. The coating device includes a transparent covering plate and an ultraviolet light source device. The workpiece is placed in the coating device. Coating material is injected into the coating device to coat the workpiece. The coating material is ultraviolet light curable material. The ultraviolet light source device emits ultraviolet light and the ultraviolet light passes through the transparent covering plate to cure the coating material on the workpiece. The workpiece is taken out of the coating device.
