Abstract: A method of wireless communication. The method comprising receiving by an application executing on a mobile communication device a provisioning payload comprising a zero-rated access point name (APN) from a wireless communication network, where the zero-rated APN is used by the wireless communication network to provide a distinctive communication service to the mobile communication device without counting data tonnage associated with the distinctive communication service against a data limit of a wireless communication service plan associated with the mobile communication device, receiving by the application a command to initiate the distinctive communication service, engaging the distinctive communication service to use the zero-rated APN in conducting the distinctive communication service, and providing the distinctive communication service to the mobile communication device at a lower quality of service (QoS) by a wireless communication network node relative to a standard QoS provided to standard communication service in the wireless communication network.

Abstract: A user equipment (“UE”) connected to a first network that performs methods including receiving a page from the first network indicating an incoming voice call, when it is determined the voice call was not successfully connected, incrementing a value of a counter and when the value satisfies the threshold, switching from the first network to a second network. Another method includes originating a voice call via the first network, when it is determined the voice call was not successfully connected, opening a socket connection with the first network and attempting to re-originate the voice call via the first network. Another method includes determining whether the UE has switched a connection from a first network to a second network and when it is determined that the UE has switched the connection to the second network, initiating an action by the UE.

Abstract: A third-party application, executing at a mobile device, may be provided with information describing congestion levels in a network, such as a cellular wireless network through which the mobile device connects. In one implementation, the third-party application may select, based on the information describing the congestion levels, a data flow, from a number of data flows, to use when communicating with a destination device, each of the data flows being associated with different quality of service (QoS) parameters and being associated with different charging rates. The mobile device may communicate, through a proxy server, and using the selected data flow, with the destination device. The communication with the destination device may be implemented using sponsored data that is not charged to an account associated with an owner of the mobile device.

Abstract: Aspects of this disclosure are directed to a method of routing toll-free telephone calls using a toll-free exchange, thereby minimizing the number of hand-offs, increasing the technological capability and reducing the ultimate cost of the toll-free call. Toll-free subscribers are generally assessed a cost based on each exchange plus the duration of the call. Subscribers are also limited to the decades old technological standards of PSTN switching. It is therefore an object of the present disclosure to minimize the number of exchanges, promote technological possibility and simplify the process of directing a toll-free telephone call by providing a toll-free exchange.

Abstract: A Toll-Free Management Platform (TFMP) includes methods and systems for number administration, customer administration, call management services, texting services and text registry, and a smart services registry. The TFMP may allow users to receive through a web-based interface, an activate request from a user, wherein the request includes at least a customer record template reference and an indication of when to active a toll-free telecommunications number associated with the request. The request may include at least one IP address datum associated with the toll-free telecommunications number. A user interface may allow activating a toll-free number, and users may access the TFMP to create and access existing templates of toll-free call routing templates, and utilize a routing tree engine to create customized call routing trees for the toll-free numbers of interest to the user.

Predictive analytic services may be provided that allow a user through a customizable user interface, or dashboard, to access third party data sources and other information derived from toll-free telecommunications networks.
