摘要: This invention relates to a support pad formed of a shock absorbing material capable of absorbing energy resulting from vibration and gravitational forces acting on a battery disposed in engagement with the support pad and, correspondingly, transferring gravitational forces that occur along a z-axis resulting from up and down movement of the battery and dispersing these gravitation forces along an x-axis, a y-axis and the z-axis so as to reduce the impact shock on the battery by between about 65% to about 80% and, in doing so, prolonging the performance and life-cycle of the battery.

摘要: A shock absorber includes a three-dimensional structure composed of a unit structure repeatedly, regularly and continuously arranged in at least one direction, the unit structure being a three-dimensional shape formed by a wall having an external shape defined by a pair of parallel planes or curved surfaces. When the unit structure occupies a cuboidal space representing a unit space and defined by mutually orthogonal three sides having a first side extending in an axial direction in which the shock absorber exhibits a shock absorbing function as the shock absorber receives a load and second and third sides each extending from one end of the first side in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction, and the first side has a length L1 and a longer one of the second and third sides has a length L2, the shock absorber satisfies 1.1≤L1/L2≤4.0.

It is provided that the damping element (40) is arranged mainly in the region of the fixing element (18).

摘要: A pedestrian protection device for a motor vehicle, for example for a motor vehicle front end or a motor vehicle rear end, has a bumper crossmember with a deformation element arranged on the outer side thereof, i.e. the side directed towards the front. In particular, the deformation element is arranged between a bumper skin and the bumper crossmember. The deformation element has a first element and a second element which are displaceable relative to one another in the event of a collision. Furthermore, the pedestrian protection device has a locking mechanism which, in dependence on a displacement speed, and thus on a collision speed, of the motor vehicle, and while exploiting a mass inertia of a locking element which is arranged or mounted on the first element or the second element, is adjustable between a locked state in which a displacement of the first element relative to the second element is at least partially prevented by, in particular, positive engagement, and an unlocked state in which a displacement of the first element is allowed.
