摘要: In certain embodiments described herein, a heated line forming system includes a heating coil system configured to produce a heated line on a surface of a metal part. The heated line forming system also includes an air knife cooling system configured to maintain a dry area for the heated line, and to direct a coolant (e.g., cooling water, liquified gases such as liquid argon, solidified gases such as carbon dioxide snow, and so forth) around the heated line via a spray mechanism such that the coolant does not flow or splash into the heated line on the metal part. In certain embodiments, the heated line forming system includes multiple induction coils arranged along a line and spaced a short distance apart, but which, when operated simultaneously together, form a heated line on a surface of a metal part.

A powder is deposited by powder-coating onto the surface of a metal automotive part that has been quenched after simultaneously forging, and tempering the metal automotive part and bake-hardening the deposited powder to form a skin film on the surface of the metal automotive part. The surface of the metal automotive part before the powder is powder-coated thereon is a work-hardened material surface that has not been subjected to a chemical conversion filming treatment.

摘要: A wire rod for a 5000 MPa-grade diamond wire and a production method are provided. The wire rod includes the following chemical components: 1.01% to 1.1% of carbon, 0.15% to 0.4% of silicon, 0.3% to 0.6% of manganese, 0.01% to 0.4% of chromium, 0.0005% to 0.002% of boron and/or 0.01% to 0.09% of vanadium; and the balance of iron and impurities. The production method includes vacuum melting, electroslag remelting and/or vacuum consumable melting, grinding after cogging/forging, high-speed wire rolling and cooling, and cogging at 1030° C. to 1060° C. The wire rod, with structural uniformity and tensile strength of more than or equal to 1320 MPa, can be configured to prepare 5000 MPa-grade steel wires with a diameter of 40 μm to 46 μm.

摘要: Provided are a non-oriented electrical steel sheet with which it is possible to improve steel sheet transferability even when punching is performed successively at high speed, and a method of manufacturing a stacked core using the same. The non-oriented electrical steel sheet contains, by mass percent, Si: 2.0 to 5.0%, Mn: 0.4 to 5.0%, Al≤3.0%, C: 0.0008 to 0.0100%, N≤0.0030%, S≤0.0030%, and Ti≤0.0060%, wherein the product of the contents of Mn and C is 0.004 to 0.05 mass %2, the yield strength in rolling direction is more than or equal to 600 MPa, and the Young's modulus is more than or equal to 200 GPa. In the method of manufacturing a stacked core, when manufacturing a stacked core using a progressive die, the steel sheet transfer speed V (m/s) satisfies expression (1). V: VMIN to VMAX (1) VMAX=( 1/25)√(t2×E×YS) (2) VMIN=( 1/25)√(t2×120000) (3) t: Steel sheet thickness (mm), E: Young's ratio (GPa), YS: Yield strength (MPa).

In one embodiment, a metal tube includes an elongate bore having a circular transverse cross-sectional shape. The metal tube also includes an elongate wall extending around the bore and having an annular transverse cross-sectional shape with an inner surface closest to the bore, an outer surface furthest from the bore, and a wall thickness extending from the inner surface to the outer surface. An inner portion of the wall is under swage-autofrettage-induced overall compressive stress.

摘要: A hollow screw and related process of making is provided, wherein the hollow screw is formed from a generally circular corrosion resistant stainless steel disk cut from flat roll stock. The hollow screw includes a head and an elongated and hollow shaft having a wall thickness between about 0.2 to about 0.7 millimeters extending therefrom and defining a shank portion and a threaded portion having a plurality of threads thereon with a rotational drive mechanism configured to facilitate tightening via the threads. The process involves annealing to soften the stamped hollow screw, followed by thread rolling, and then age hardening the hollow screw. As such, the resultant hollow screw is relatively lightweight, about 50% the mass of a solid core screw made from the same material, with a sufficient thread strength to meet most aerospace applications and contributes to important aircraft fuel economy.

Methods are disclosed that provide the ability to improve mechanical properties of metallic alloys that have been formed with one or more edges placed in the metallic alloy by a variety of methods which may otherwise serve as a limiting factor for industrial applications.
