摘要: A process for manufacturing a vehicle part from steel material, such as Mn22B5 steel material, using a single transfer press is provided. The process includes stamping, trimming, and piercing the steel material in the transfer press at room temperature, before the steel material is heated. The process then includes induction heating of the stamped steel material in the same press to form austenite in the steel material. After the induction heating, the process includes rapid quenching of the steel material in the same press to form martensite in the steel material. The process does not require an oven to heat the steel material prior to stamping and does not require laser machines for the trimming and piercing. The steel material does not need to be transferred to multiple different locations, which contributes to the improved productivity of the process compared to conventional hot stamping processes.

摘要: A hardened part coated with a phosphatable coating is provided. The part is made by a method that includes providing a steel sheet pre-coated with a metallic coating including from 4.0 to 20.0% by weight of zinc, from 1.0 to 3.5% by weight of silicon, optionally from 1.0 to 4.0% by weight of magnesium, and optionally additional elements chosen from Pb, Ni, Zr, or Hf, the content by weight of each additional element being less than 0.3% by weight, the balance being aluminum and unavoidable impurities and residuals elements. The steel sheet is cut to obtain a blank, the blank is thermally treated at a temperature between 840 and 950° C. to obtain a fully austenitic microstructure in the steel, the blank is transferred into a press tool and hot-formed to obtain a part. The part is cooled to obtain a martensitic or martensitic-bainitic microstructure or made of at least 75% of equiaxed ferrite, from 5 to 20% of martensite and bainite in amount less than or equal to 10%.

摘要: A method of forming a shaped steel object is provided. The method includes cutting a blank from an alloy composition including 0.05-0.5 wt. % carbon, 4-12 wt. % manganese, 1-8 wt. % aluminum, 0-0.4 wt. % vanadium, and a remainder balance of iron. The method also includes heating the blank until the blank is austenitized to form a heated blank, transferring the heated blank to a press, forming the heating blank into a predetermined shape to form a stamped object, and decreasing the temperature of the stamped object to a temperature between a martensite start (Ms) temperature of the alloy composition and a martensite final (Mf) temperature of the alloy composition to form a shaped steel object comprising martensite and retained austenite.

摘要: Disclosed is a hot stamped part, which has improved toughness while maintaining high strength and high hardness, and a method for manufacturing the same. The hot stamped part is formed by performing hot stamping using an iron-based alloy, and includes a reinforced portion formed to have a martensite structure, a softened portion formed to have ferrite and bainite structures, and a transition portion formed between the reinforced portion and the softened portion. The reinforced portion, the transition portion and the softened portion are formed in the thickness direction of the hot stamped part.

摘要: A steel sheet for hot-pressing includes a specific chemical component composition. In the steel sheet, an average equivalent-circle diameter of a Ti-containing precipitate having an equivalent-circle diameter of 30 nm or less among Ti-containing precipitates contained in the steel sheet is 3 nm or more. A precipitated Ti amount and a total Ti amount in the steel satisfy the relationship of: Precipitated Ti amount (mass %)−3.4[N]≥0.5×[(total Ti amount (mass %))−3.4[N]], in which [N] indicates the content (mass %) of N in the steel. A ferrite fraction in the metal microstructure of the steel sheet is 30 area % or more.
