摘要: An example of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a magnetic core to be inserted into a borehole to a formation. The apparatus further includes a first coil wound about the magnetic core. In addition, the apparatus includes a first current supply to generate a first current to run through the first coil. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a first controller to control the first current supply. The first controller is to oscillate the first current to generate a magnetic field in the formation. Heat is to be generated in the formation via induction.

摘要: A method for manufacturing an electrode assembly includes assembling an electrode stack, applying induction heating to a central portion of the stack, and applying heat and pressure to top and bottom portions of the stack, so as to bond the component electrodes and separator of the stack to one another. The method also includes applying induction heating to at least an electrode tab of the stack. An apparatus for manufacturing the electrode assembly includes an electrode tab heating unit configured to apply the induction heating to the electrode tab. The resulting electrode assembly has improved uniformity of properties, including small deviations in thickness of the separator between a central portion and an outer portion of the stack along the stacking axis.

摘要: An aerosol-generating system is provided, including: an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate, and an aerosol-generating device having a housing, a heating chamber defining a heating zone and sized to receive the substrate therein, an induction element around the zone, a power supply, and a controller connected to the element to provide an alternating electric current to the element to generate an alternating magnetic field within the zone, the element being controlled to sequentially provide a first alternating magnetic field having a first frequency for a first period of time followed by a second alternating magnetic field having a second frequency for a second period of time, the element being first and second coils, the first and the second coils being actuatable to provide the first and the second fields, respectively, and the article and the chamber being arranged so the article is partially received within the chamber.

摘要: Circuitry for a plurality of induction elements for an aerosol generating device is disclosed. Each of the plurality of induction elements is for inductive heating of one or more susceptors for heating aerosol generating material in use. The circuitry includes a plurality of driver arrangements, each one of the plurality of driver arrangements being arranged to provide, from an input direct current, an alternating current to a respective one of the plurality of induction elements in use. Each driver arrangement includes one or more first transistors each controllable by a switching potential to substantially allow current to pass therethrough in use. The circuitry also includes a converter arranged to step up an input potential to provide the switching potential in use, the converter being common to each of the plurality of driver arrangements.

摘要: An inductor for use in an aerosol provision device is disclosed. The inductor includes an electrically-conductive element and a secondary coil. The element includes an electrically-conductive non-spiral first portion coincident with a first plane, an electrically-conductive non-spiral second portion coincident with a second plane that is spaced from the first plane, and an electrically-conductive connector that electrically connects the first portion to the second portion. The electrically-conductive element is configured such that when a varying electrical current is applied to the electrically-conductive element, a corresponding varying electrical current is induced in the secondary coil.

摘要: An inductive heating arrangement for heating smokable material includes a susceptor arrangement, at least first and second inductor coils and a control circuit. The first inductor coil generates a first varying magnetic field heating a first section of the susceptor arrangement and the second inductor coil generates a second varying magnetic field heating a second section of the susceptor arrangement. The control circuit is configured so that when one of the first and second coils is actively being driven to generate a varying magnetic field the other of the first and second inductor coils is inactive, and so that the inactive one of the first and second inductor coils is prevented from carrying a current induced by the active one of the first and second inductor coils sufficient to cause significant heating of the susceptor arrangement.

摘要: The invention relates to an electromagnetic heating system (EHS) comprising a primary electromagnetic interface including one or more primary coils and a secondary electromagnetic interface including one or more secondary coils wherein a wireless power transfer can be provided between the primary and the secondary electromagnetic interfaces. The primary and/or the secondary coils can be configured to produce heat which can heat vehicles, water vessels, constructions, foods and drinks, human bodies, animal bodies, plants. The EHS can include defined electrocomponents. The coils can form heating oscillators. The system can include repeating interfaces and can be coupled with other heating systems. The system can be buoyant, provided with an insulation, a heat accumulating material, it can be modularly configured. An electromagnetic heating method is proposed for proximity or vicinity heating. A microwave heating method is proposed for systems and/or apparatuses combining microwave energy producing, conducting and in heat transforming functions.

摘要: Induction heating facilitated coating systems and processes for pipes overcome corrosion and erosion of the pipes at extreme temperatures and pressures in applications including oil and gas downhole tubulars and pipelines as well as processing facilities. Being based on vitreous fused inorganic compounds, the present invention achieves very high corrosion resistance at remarkably modest cost. Attractive economics and immunity to chlorides and moisture permeation at extreme concentrations and temperatures also make it well suited to desalination plants and potable water piping applications. Due to its extreme temperature resistance, it also is very well suited for geothermal wells. Additionally, due to its characteristic smooth durable surface, the present invention is ideally suited for applications involving the opposite of corrosion, namely scaling problems, such as fouling in sewage systems and scale buildup in heavy oil wells.
