    摘要: A hub-bearing unit includes a bearing unit having a stationary radially outer ring, a rotatable radially inner ring, and a double row of rolling bodies. The first row of rolling bodies, are axially outwards, interposed between the radially outer ring and a rotor-hub. The rolling bodies centers are located along a radius of a first circle, respective to a hub-bearing unit symmetry axis. The second row of rolling bodies, axially inwards, being interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring. The radially inner ring is assembled on top of the rotatable rotor-hub. A flange portion is axially external and steadily fixed to a tubular portion of the rotor-hub. The flange includes a plurality of fixing holes, whose axes are located along a radius of a second circle, respective to the hub-bearing unit symmetry axis.     摘要: A wheel hub rotary joint assembly with an axis of rotation includes a wheel hub with a wheel flange for connecting a wheel and a sleeve section for receiving a wheel bearing; a constant-velocity rotary joint with an outer joint part, an inner joint part and torque-transmitting elements. The outer joint part has a first spur gearing section with first teeth at its end facing the wheel hub. The sleeve section has a second spur gearing section with second teeth at its end facing the constant-velocity rotary joint. The two spur gearing sections engage with one another for torque transmission. A tensioner for axially tensioning the wheel hub against the outer joint part is axially supported on one side on the wheel hub and on the other side on the outer joint part. At least one of the two spur gearing sections is designed such that, viewed in the radial direction, the first and second teeth initially only come into contact with one another on a small subsurface of the tooth surfaces facing one another during axial tensioning of the arrangement. This subsurface increases in size during further tensioning. The spur gearing sections are designed such that, viewed in the radial direction, the first and second teeth initially come only into contact with one another on the radially inward side during axial tensioning and, as tensioning increases, also come into contact with one another on the radially outward side, for which purpose a substructure of the sleeve section and/or of the outer joint part having the teeth is designed to be more easily deformable in a radially inward region than in a region lying radially further outward.

    摘要: A protective cap is installed in a wheel hub to protect a wheel speed sensor and bearing assembly from intrusion of dirt. The hub has inner and outer end faces, and a central bore having splines for engagement by a splined driveshaft. The speed sensor system has a segmented disc rotating with the hub and a sensor mounted on a housing and extending into proximity with the segmented disc. The protective cap includes a stem for insertion through the central bore and a head having an under face for engaging with the inner end face of the hub. The head has a distal rim portion overlapping the housing to allow rotation of the protective cap relative the housing to prevent entry of dirt to the speed sensor system and bearing. The stem has yieldable retainers for engaging with the outer end face of the hub to retain the protective cap.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to prevent occurrence of play between a hub ring and a stem portion of a joint outer ring. In a wheel bearing device in which a hub ring, a double-row bearing and a constant velocity universal joint are unitized together, one of double-row inner raceways of a bearing is formed on the joint outer ring of the constant velocity universal joint, and an end portion of the joint outer ring is fitted to an outside periphery of the hub ring through serrated portions, wherein the hub ring is plastically deformed and expanded from an inside diameter side toward an outside diameter side by pushing a steel ball into a through hole of the hub ring, and play in the serrated portions is prevented by the diameter expansion. Another object of the present invention is to make a bearing device more compact and to increase its rigidity. A joint outer ring is fitted onto an outside periphery of a hub ring with torque transmission means being provided between them, and the hub ring and the joint outer ring are coupled with each other by swaging an end portion of the hub ring. An inner ring having an inner raceway on its outside periphery is fitted to the joint outer ring for forming double-row inner raceways together with an inner raceway formed on the joint outer ring. An inboard end portion of the hub ring is extended beyond the position of the inboard inner raceway. A swaging constitution in which an axial end of the joint outer ring is swaged to be fixed to the hub ring also aims to prevent an occurrence of run-out of the wheel mounting flange of the hub ring. In a wheel bearing device in which the hub ring, the constant velocity universal joint and a double-row bearing are unitized together, at least one of the double-row inner raceways of the bearing and the wheel mounting flange are formed on the hub ring, and a stem portion of the joint outer ring of the constant velocity universal joint are fitted into the hub ring through serrated portions, wherein a pilot ring as a separate element is fitted to a side-end portion of the wheel mounting flange of the hub ring, and the hub ring and the pilot ring are fixed to the joint outer ring by swaging. Still another object of the invention is to increase strength of a base portion of a wheel mounting flange without changing the shapes and dimensions of the wheel mounting flange, and without increasing a carbon content in a material or adding strengthening elements to a material. In a wheel bewaring device in which a hub ring, a constant velocity universal joint and a double-row bearing are unitized together, at least one of the double-row inner raceways and the wheel mounting flange are formed on the hub ring, and a stem portion of the joint outer ring of the constant velocity universal joint is fitted into the hub ring through serrated portions, wherein a surface-hardened layer is formed on a base portion of the wheel mounting flange, or on a fillet portion located at a place extending from a brake rotor mounting surface to a tubular pilot portion.

    摘要: A fixed type constant velocity universal joint includes an outer joint member having a cup shape, an inner joint member, which is received in the outer joint member, and transmits torque between the inner and outer joint members through intermediation of balls while allowing angular displacement, and a hollow shaft, which is coupled to the inner joint member so as to allow torque transmission. A threaded hole is formed in a bottom portion of the outer joint member along an axial direction. A recessed hole is formed to be open in a shaft end portion of the hollow shaft opposed to the threaded hole. An embedded stopper that enters the threaded hole is press-fitted into the recessed hole. The embedded stopper is retractable into the hollow shaft in a press-fitting direction.
