Abstract: Provided is a thermoplastic resin composition or an adhesive coating material capable of adhering a cyclic polyolefin-based polymer with a metal or metal compound such as aluminum foil or an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with sufficient strength. The thermoplastic resin composition contains (A) 100 parts by mass of thermoplastic resin; (B) 0.05 to 5 parts by mass of one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative; and (C) 0.01 to 3 parts by mass of organic peroxide; which component (A) contains (a1) 10 to 90% by mass cyclic polyolefin-based polymer; and (a2) 90 to 10% by mass a hydrogenated product of a block copolymer comprising a polymer block composed mainly of an aromatic vinyl compound and a random copolymer block of a conjugated diene compound and an aromatic vinyl compound (with the proviso that the total of the component (a1) and the component (a2) is 100% by mass).

Abstract: The present invention provides a polymer composition for fibers or non-woven fabrics, comprising a vinyl aromatic based copolymer and 0 to 30 wt % of an olefin based polymer based on the total weight of the polymer composition. The vinyl aromatic copolymer is represented by a formula A1-B-A2, wherein block A1 and block A2 are the same or different vinyl aromatic blocks, block A1 or block A2 having 3,800 to 4,800 of a peak molecular weight, and block B is a hydrogenated conjugated diene block. A vinyl structure content of a conjugated diene monomer content in the vinyl aromatic based copolymer is from 32 wt % to 50 wt %; and a melt flow index (MFI) of the vinyl aromatic based copolymer is 20 g/10 min˜60 g/10 min (230° C., 2.16 kg). The present invention also provides the fibers or the non-woven fabrics made from the polymer composition.

Abstract: A composition is described comprising a styrene-isobutylene block copolymer; and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer. After curing the composition comprises polymerized units of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer. In some embodiments the ethylenically unsaturated groups are selected from (meth)acryl or vinyl ether. The composition is suitable for use as a (e.g. pressure sensitive) adhesive. Abstract: Thermoplastic elastomer compositions, in particular derived from one or more styrenic block copolymers, a relatively high molecular weight isobutylene-containing (co)polymer, and a biorenewable processing aid. The isobutylene-containing (co)polymer imparts desirable oxygen barrier performance to the composition and the biorenewable processing aid acts as a barrier synergist as well as a processing aid useful during compounding. Low oxygen permeability sealing elements can be formed from the compositions. Processes for preparing the compositions and sealing elements are disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hot melt adhesive composition, comprising based on the total weight of the hot melt adhesive composition: (a) more than 25 weight percent of at least one block copolymer, (b) from about 27 to about 45 weight percent of at least one plasticizer, (c) from about 18 to less than about 55 weight percent of a combination of at least two different resins; and (d) optionally up to 10% weight percent of at least one wax. The hot melt adhesive composition of the invention can be used for bonding bundles of plastic containers such as bottles into packs.
