摘要: Described herein is a pressure sensitive adhesive is comprising: (a) a high molecular weight (meth)acrylate polymer wherein the high molecular weight (meth)acrylate polymer is derived from (i) a C4 to C24 (meth)acrylate ester monomer; and (ii) 0 to less than 10 wt % of a polar comonomer based on the weight of the high molecular weight (meth)acrylate polymer; and (b) 10 to 100 parts of a low molecular weight fluorinated polymer per 100 parts of the high molecular weight (meth)acrylate polymer, wherein the low molecular weight fluorinated polymer has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of less than 40° C. The low molecular weight fluorinated polymer is preferably derived from fluorinated (meth)acrylate, fluorinated (meth)acrylate comprising a sulfonylamide group, fluorinated vinyl monomers, fluorinated vinyl ethers, or fluorinated styrene.

摘要: Provided is a photocurable composition including a monomer component including: a monomer (X) containing, within one molecule, two aromatic rings and two (meth)acryloyloxy groups, and having an Mw of from 400 to 580, and a monomer (H) containing, within one molecule, at least one of a hydroxyl group or a carboxy group, and a (meth)acryloyloxy group, and having an Mw of from 100 to 700; and a photopolymerization initiator. The composition has a functional group value (a) of from 0.5×10−3 to 2.0×10−3 mol/g. Functional group value (a)=(nH/MH)×PH Formula (a) wherein nH represents the total number of hydroxyl groups and carboxy groups contained in one molecule of the (meth)acrylic monomer (H); MH represents the Mw of the (meth)acrylic monomer (H); and PH represents the mass ratio of the (meth)acrylic monomer (H) with respect to the total amount of the (meth)acrylic monomer component.

摘要: A curable primer composition comprising: (a) a curable component such as methacrylate; (b) a cure initiating component; and (c) a polymer material selected from the group consisting of: (i) block polymers represented by S-A-S where S is polystyrene and A stands for a polymer or copolymer formed from one or more of ethylene, propylene, butylene, and styrene, which are optionally substituted with carboxylic acid or maleic anhydride; provided that when A comprises styrene then A is a copolymer of styrene with at least one of ethylene, propylene and butylene, and is optionally substituted with carboxylic acid or maleic anhydride; and (ii) polystyrene-poly(ethylene-propylene) (“SEP”); and (iii) any combination of said polymer materials. The composition is applied to a part then photocured. It is dry to touch. Thereafter a thermoplastic material such as a polyolefin is overmolded (e.g. injection molded) over the applied composition. It enhances bond strength of the polyolefin to the part.

摘要: An imprinting method for forming a pattern of a cured product by irradiating a curable composition for imprinting disposed on a substrate with light while the curable composition is in contact with a mold having surface asperities and removing the mold from a cured product of the curable composition. The method includes bringing the mold into contact with the curable composition in a condensable gas atmosphere, wherein the curable composition for imprinting has a viscosity in the range of 1 cP to 40 cP in air at 23° C., and the condensable gas is introduced between the mold and the curable composition such that the curable composition for imprinting has a condensable gas solubility (gas/(curable composition+gas)) (g/g) in the range of 0.1 to 0.4.

摘要: Described herein is a class of non-homopolymers polymerized from at least: (A) 10-22 mole percent of at least one N-vinyl lactam, (B) 30-35 mole percent of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, and combinations thereof, (C) 40-52 mole percent of at least one (meth)acrylate of a straight- or branched-chain alkyl alcohol, and (D) 5-20 mole percent of at least one (meth)acrylate of a saturated or unsaturated cyclic alcohol having 6 to 20 carbon atoms. In one embodiment, the non-homopolymers exhibit solubility in the lower molecular weight alcohols. The non-homopolymers may be used in personal care or performance chemicals compositions. In one embodiment, the polymers are used in various personal care formulations, such as used for skin, sun, hair, and preservatives.
