摘要: Methods of forming antimicrobial resin compositions comprising silver nanoparticles are disclosed, wherein the resin compositions that are generated exhibit lower initial color, reduced color shift upon storage and reduced levels of spontaneous polymerization. Such methods generally comprise: combining a silver-containing material with a self-cure and dual-cure base resin in situ wherein the base resin does not contain a catalytic amine; and adding a catalytic resin to the mixture of the resin and silver-containing material in order to form the final cured resin. Antimicrobial polymeric materials formed by said methods are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed are cement products, methods of forming cement using the cement product, and methods of using the cement product in orthopedic and dental applications. Generally, the disclosed cement product includes a first component and a second component. The first component comprises a polymerizable resin comprising ethylenic unsaturated double bond, a suitable glycidyl group and/or a suitable isocyanate group. The second component includes a compound comprising more than one type of amine selected from the group consisting of primary amine, secondary amines, tertiary amines and quaternary amines. Alternatively, the second component includes a compound comprising a suitable mercapto (SH—) group, a hindered amine or a dimethylthiotoluenediamine (DMTDA). Optionally, the cement product includes a filler and/or a bioactive component to promote bone formation.

摘要: The present invention provides a dental adhesive exhibiting excellent initial bond strength and bond durability to both enamel and dentin. The present invention relates to a dental adhesive containing: an asymmetric acrylamide-methacrylic acid ester compound (a); an acid group-containing (meth)acrylic polymerizable monomer (b); and a water-soluble polymerizable monomer (c). The asymmetric acrylamide-methacrylic acid ester compound (a) is represented by the following general formula (1): where X is an optionally substituted, linear or branched C1 to C6 aliphatic group or an optionally substituted aromatic group, the aliphatic group is optionally interrupted by at least one linking group selected from the group consisting of —O—, —S—, —CO—, —CO—O—, —O—CO—, —NR1—, —CO—NR1—, —NR1—CO—, —CO—O—NR1—, —O—CO—NR1—, and —NR1—CO—NR1—, and R1 is a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted, linear or branched C1 to C6 aliphatic group.

摘要: An organic-inorganic composite filler contains: inorganic aggregate particles formed by aggregation of inorganic primary particles with an average particle diameter of 10 to 1000 nm; an organic resin phase including a cured polymer of a polymerizable monomer covering surfaces of the inorganic primary particles and bonding the inorganic primary particles to each other, and a water absorbing resin; and aggregation gaps with a volume of micropores formed between parts of the organic resin phase of 0.01 to 0.30 cm3/g in pore volume measurement within a pore diameter range of 1 to 500 nm, as measured by a mercury intrusion technique. In a cross section passing through the centers of the inorganic aggregate particles, based on 100 measured inorganic particles, there are 10 or less inorganic aggregate particles having a macro void with a maximum width of at least 1 μm.
