摘要: The invention relates to an asymmetric hydrogenation method for ketone compounds, comprising the step of: under hydrogen atmosphere, in the presence of an in situ catalyst derived from a chiral ligand and a ruthenium salt, adding a ketone compound and a base into a second solvent to carry out an asymmetric hydrogenation for the ketone compound. The invention can obtain a conversion of 100% and a highest asymmetric inducement effect of 99.7% for the ketone compound. The invention has the advantages including simple procedure, high conversion and selectivity, good atom economy and good prospect of industrial application.

摘要: A method is provided for producing optically active alcohols from ketones by reducing a ketone in the presence of an iridium(III) complex having a chiral prolinamide compound as a ligand. The ketone is preferably a compound represented by formula [I]: (wherein R1 and R2 are different from each other, and each represent an optionally substituted straight or branched alkyl group, an optionally substituted cycloalkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group, an optionally substituted heteroaryl group, an optionally substituted aralkyl group, an optionally substituted heteroarylalkyl group, an optionally substituted alkenyl group or an optionally substituted alkynyl group, and R1 and R2 may be bound to each other at any appropriate position to form a ring, the ring optionally containing one or more atoms which may be the same or different and are selected from an oxygen atom, an optionally substituted nitrogen atom and a sulfur atom, and optionally being condensed with an aromatic or hetero-aromatic ring).

摘要: A method of making a decalin alcohol; the alcohol is applied as a component in a fragrance composition containing 0.0005 to 10% by mass as component (a), represented by formula (1a), and 90 to 99.9995% by mass of one or more polycyclic woody-amber fragrances as component (b) selected from the group consisting of 7-acetyl-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-1,1,6,7-tetramethylnaphthalene; 1,2,3,4,4a,5,6,7-octahydro-2,5,5-trimethyl-2-naphthalenol; 1,2,3,4,4a,7,8,8a-octahydro-2,4a,5,8a-tetramethyl-1-naphthyl formate; 3a-ethyldodecahydro-6,6,9a-trimethylnaphtho[2,1-b]furan; and racemic or optically active dodecahydro-3a,6,6,9a-tetramethylnaphtho[2,1-b]furan; the fragrance composition being contained in a cosmetic product, a household product, and an environmental/sanitary product. The fragrance composition of the present invention is a highly versatile fragrance composition that, with the decalin alcohol, brings about an odor of natural ambergris with an odor quality that imparts the effects of warmth even when employed in a small amount.

摘要: The present invention provides a novel method of hydrogenating a phenol for hydrogenating a phenol industrially advantageously. The present invention relates, in the case of phenol hydrogenation in which carbon dioxide is made to participate in the reaction, to a method of hydrogenating a phenol characterized by using a supported rhodium and/or ruthenium catalyst, whereby the phenol is hydrogenated efficiently at a lower reaction temperature than with prior art; such a method characterized in that carbon dioxide having a temperature of 20 to 250° C. and a pressure of 0.1 to 50 MPa is used as the carbon dioxide; and such a method characterized in that hydrogen under conditions of a temperature of 20 to 250° C. and a pressure of 0.1 to 50 MPa is used. An environmentally friendly phenol hydrogenation process that uses no harmful organic solvents can be realized.

摘要: A method for carrying out a reaction of one substance capable of being activated by a catalyst with another substance capable of reacting with said one substance activated, characterized in that the substance capable of being activated is activated by passing the substance through a diaphragm type catalyst and the reaction is thus performed in one reaction step; a method for producing an aromatic alcohol utilizing the above method; and a reaction apparatus suitable for these reactions. In the method, one substance is activated by passing through a diaphragm type catalyst and an objective reaction is carried out by using the activated substance, and the reaction can be performed in one reaction step and with safety. Moreover, the contact of the above activated substance with a compound to be reacted therewith can be freely controlled, and therefore, over-reaction can be prevented and an objective product can be produced in high yield. The method is thus markedly advantageous from an economical view point as a commercial process for producing oxygen-containing organic compounds such as an aromatic alcohol, a ketone, an aldehyde, a carboxylic acid and an epoxide.
