A system for molding a ring into a product including a rotational molding mold with an opening formed in the rotational molding mold sized to fit a ring. A fixture is removably couplable to the ring, wherein the ring and the fixture when coupled are removably couplable in the opening. The fixture is removed from the ring after the ring is molded into a product. A method of manufacturing a product with an embedded ring includes: coupling a ring to a fixture; clamping the fixture and the ring in an opening in a mold top; clamping the mold top to a mold bottom; rotomolding a product; unclamping the fixture from the mold top; uncoupling the fixture from the ring; unclamping the mold top and the mold bottom; and removing the product from the mold.

A method for manufacturing a package includes the steps of: preparing a lead frame having a frame, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first connecting portion connecting the frame and the first electrode, and a second connecting portion connecting the frame and the second electrode; placing the lead frame in a mold; injecting a first resin into the mold from an inlet of the mold located adjacent to the first electrode to mold a flange portion and a wall portion of the package; and cutting the lead frame and a part of the flange portion located adjacent to the first electrode. In the step of injecting the first resin, the mold and the lead frame together provide a hollow space into which the first resin is injected and in which a part of the flange portion is formed so as to have a thickness different from a thickness of the lead frame.

When a pad main body is molded by foaming a liquid raw material, the mesh-like body is penetrated through the pad main body in a thickness direction. Since the mesh-like body is disposed with a part of the side face exposed with respect to the lower mold partitioning wall, the liquid raw material is hardened between the fibers on the side face of the mesh-like body, and the side face is attached to the pad main body. Therefore, it is possible that the mesh-like body is not easily displaced with respect to the pad main body while suppressing a sweaty feeling.

A method for fabricating an artificial skin such as for use with a robotic assembly. The method includes providing a mold assembly with an exterior mold and an interior core. A cavity is defined between inner surfaces of the exterior mold and exterior surfaces of the interior core, thereby defining a shape and thickness of a skin. A surface of the interior core includes offsets or standoffs extending outward from the interior core surface. The method further includes positioning a sheet of reinforcement material over the surface such that the sheet contacts the offsets. The method includes pouring material for the skin system into the mold to occupy the cavity between the exterior mold and the interior core. The method includes disassembling the mold assembly and removing the skin with the sheet of reinforcement material embedded within the skin at an offset distance from a surface of the skin.
