摘要: A method of creating a native vessel bypass percutaneously includes steps of selecting a target procedural site adjacent to a paired artery and vein, usually near an occlusion or blockage disposed in the artery and advancing a catheter through the vein with its distal tip extending through the vessel walls into the adjacent artery. An anastomosis is formed by applying heat to tissue forming the vessel walls which is captured between surfaces on a proximal base and the distal tip of the catheter. The venous valves are disabled to permit retrograde venous flow of arterial blood, in order to bypass the arterial occlusion.

摘要: An apparatus for anastomosis of tubular structures includes two annular bodies. Each annular body has a first side, a second side, a central axis extending between the first and second sides, an inner wall defining a passageway that is open to the first and second sides for passing a tubular structure therethrough, and a plurality of spikes each extending from a base connected to the second side of the annular body to a pointed free end configured to pierce the tubular structure. The spikes are angled relative to the central axis such that for each of the spikes, the free end is positioned farther from the central axis in a radial direction than the base is to the central axis.

摘要: Provided herein are novel devices for the formation of arteriovenous fistulas, which may aid subjects in need of hemodialysis. The novel devices are provided in a non-surgical procedure, greatly decreasing the cost and increasing the convenience of placing an arteriovenous fistula. The devices are atraumatic, and consist of a sutureless anastomosis device and conduit. Methods and tools for placing the devices in vivo are disclosed, including a magnetic-assisted method.

摘要: A method, system, or apparatus for stent delivery. Delivering one or more stents with a delivery tool that can include a kinetic transfer of energy to deliver one or more stents. The stents can include a modifiable stent that can change its overall shape and/or dimensions based on pre-configured design parameters. A coil stent that can engage with a vessel that surrounds the modifiable stent forming a dual stent configuration. The coil stent can also include anchor points that allow it to engage with a second vessel securing the first vessel and the second vessel together to aid in the healing process.

摘要: A catheter system can include a tubular body, and at least one of a targeting system coupled to the tubular body, an expandable member, or a fluid injection port. A method of identifying a bifurcation can include inserting a catheter system into a first vessel, positioning the catheter system at a first location, expanding an expandable member to occlude the first vessel, delivering contrast material so the contrast material pooling proximate to the expandable member, and reviewing a shape of the contrast material in the first vessel under fluoroscopy.

摘要: A device and method for performing anastomosis is described. In one embodiment according to the present invention, the device comprises a ring that has a plurality of pins extending from various locations on the ring. During a procedure, the pins are passed through portions of tissue and the ring is everted or radially flipped inside out to connect the tissues together.

摘要: Traditional CABG procedures are performed by accessing the chest cavity and stopping the heart. However, off-pump CABG is becoming more wide-spread in use. Transcatheter CABG procedures are particularly advantageous and thus may become prevalent. A transcatheter CABG procedure can advantageously reduce complications, procedure time, and recovery time as well as providing benefits of being an off-pump, beating heart procedure. Accordingly, disclosed herein are several mechanisms and methods for accessing, implant anchoring, and visualization during a transcatheter CABG procedure.

摘要: An anastomotic coupler is provided. A ring can include a plurality of receiving portions. A fixation device includes a cartridge. The cartridge includes a plurality of fasteners. The ring is aligned with the cartridge such that the receiving portions are aligned with the fasteners. Upon actuation of the fixation device, the fasteners puncture the tubular structure and are received by the receiving portions such that the tubular structure is coupled with the ring.

摘要: A device and method for creating an arteriovenous (AV) fistula includes a proximal base having a distal diagonal end surface and a distal tip connected to the proximal base and movable relative to the proximal base. The distal tip has a proximal diagonal end surface. A heating assembly, including an energized heating element, is disposed one of the distal diagonal end surface and the proximal diagonal end surface. A passive heating assembly is disposed on the mating diagonal end surface. The distal diagonal end surface and the proximal diagonal end surface are adapted to contact opposing sides of a tissue portion to create a fistula. The angle of the proximal diagonal end surface matches the angle of the distal diagonal end surface, so that the two surfaces match one another during deployment.
