摘要: Systems and methods used to perform touchless registration of images for surgical navigation are disclosed. In some embodiments, the systems include a 3-D scanning device to capture spatial data of a region of interest of a patient and a reference frame. A digital mesh model is generated from the spatial data. A reference frame model is registered with the digital mesh model. Anatomical features of the digital mesh model and a patient registration model are utilized to register the digital mesh model with the patient registration model. A position of a surgical instrument is tracked relative to the reference frame and the patient registration model.

摘要: Robotic surgical procedures are successively performed on a patient's bony anatomy by engaging the patient's bony anatomy with a first tool or implant coupled to a first surgical robotic arm to perform a first procedure. A second tool or implant coupled to a second surgical robotic arm is then used to perform a second procedure while the first surgical robotic arm and the first tool or implant remain engaged with the patient's bony anatomy to stabilize the bony anatomy while the second procedure is being performed with the second surgical robotic arm and second tool or implant.

摘要: An interface for a robotic arm comprising: a body having a first axial face adapted to be connected to a distal face of a link of a robotic arm, a second axial face adapted to be connected to a proximal face of an end effector, the second axial face having a geometry differing from a geometry of the proximal face of the end effector so as to define a peripheral band in the second axial face, the peripheral band facing distally. A connection configuration is provided for the interface to be fixed to the link and for the end effector to be fixed to the interface. Circuitry is embedded in the body. At least one light source in the peripheral band, the at least one light source connected to the circuitry to produce light in a distal direction of the robotic arm.

摘要: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for localizing lesions within a patient's body, e.g., within a breast. The system may include one or more markers implantable within or around the target tissue region, and a probe for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals to detect the one or more markers. During use, the marker(s) are into a target tissue region, and the probe is placed against the patient's skin to detect and localize the marker(s). A tissue specimen, including the lesion and the marker(s), is then removed from the target tissue region based at least in part on the localization information from the probe.

摘要: A method and system for performing hip arthroplasty include analyzing images of a patient's hip joint in a plurality of positions to identify preoperative hip geometry. A statistical patient model predicts prosthetic hip implant performance based on the preoperative knee geometry and given prosthetic knee implant implantation parameters for a plurality of selected patient activities, each having a predefined motion profile to calculate an optimized surgical plan for performing the procedure using a computer assisted surgical system, which may use fiducial markers affixed to patient tissue. Hip geometry can be determined by angles between landmarks in the images, including sacral tilt, pelvic incidence, pelvic femoral angle, and ante-inclination angle in x-ray images. Implant performance criteria can include, for example, edge loading and range of motion of implant components.

摘要: An imaging system is described. In one aspect, a method includes accessing pressure sensor data from a pressure sensor being bitten by a patient, accessing occlusal pattern data corresponding to the patient, correlating the pressure sensor data with the occlusal pattern data, and identifying a location of the pressure sensor relative to the teeth of the patient based on the correlated pressure sensor data with the occlusal pattern data.
