Abstract: This liquid-sealed cartridge includes: a cartridge body including a plurality of liquid storage portions; a seal body configured to seal an opening of each of the plurality of liquid storage portions; and an elastic body disposed so as to be opposed to the plurality of liquid storage portions, the elastic body being configured to form a passage adjacent to the plurality of liquid storage portions. Each of the plurality of liquid storage portions and the passage are configured to be communicated with each other by the corresponding seal body being pushed to be opened through the elastic body.

Abstract: Disclosed is a liquid-sealed cartridge in which a liquid is transferred by a centrifugal force generated when the liquid-sealed cartridge is rotated around a rotation shaft, including: a liquid storage portion configured to store the liquid therein; a seal having an outer peripheral portion connected to the liquid storage portion, the seal being configured to seal the liquid storage portion; a flow path connected to the liquid storage portion via the seal, through which the liquid in the liquid storage portion is transferred by the centrifugal force in a direction away from the rotation shaft, wherein, when the seal receives a pressing force, the seal is inclined in a pressing direction, with one portion of the outer peripheral portion thereof remaining connected with the liquid storage portion, and the other portion of the outer peripheral portion being separated from the liquid storage portion.

Abstract: In a method of detecting a test substance, a test substance is detected using a sample analysis cartridge supplied with a sample. The sample analysis cartridge includes: a passage part having a gas-phase space; and liquid containers communicating with the passage part through openings. The liquid containers include: a first liquid container containing a first liquid containing magnetic particles; and a second liquid container containing a second liquid containing a labeled substance. The magnetic particles are sequentially transported to the liquid containers through the gas-phase space in the passage part. Thus, the magnetic particles carry a complex of the test substance and the labeled substance. The test substance is detected based on the labeled substance in the complex.

Abstract: A sample analyzing method for suppressing an adverse effect on detection accuracy of a detection target substance is disclosed. In the sample analyzing method, a magnetic particle as a support of a detection target substance is transported by magnetic force to a second liquid container through a passage between a first liquid container storing a first liquid containing the magnetic particle and the second liquid container storing a second liquid containing a labeled substance to forma complex with the detection target substance and the magnetic particle. The complex formed in the second liquid container and containing the detection target substance, magnetic particle, and labeled substance is transported to a third liquid in a flow path, and the magnetic particle is transported to a detection tank for detecting the detection target substance, while being agitated in a mixed liquid of the complex and third liquid within the flow path.
