摘要： A system for enabling a digital video recorder to serve as a content delivery server is disclosed. In particular, the system may include deploying a content delivery server at a cell site, which may be provided a content package from a satellite or fiber network. Additionally, the system may include deploying, at a customer premises, a digital video recorder that may serve as a content delivery server and may be equipped for wireless communication. The content package may be transmitted from the content delivery server of the cell site to the digital video recorder. Upon receiving a request for content from a user device, the digital video recorder may transmit the requested content to the user device if the digital video recorder is in range of the user device. Otherwise, the content delivery server at the cell site may transmit the requested content to the user device.

摘要： This system provides wired and/or wireless access throughout a multimedia network built on a distributed architecture which can be transparent to the user. This multimedia network includes content which is imported or generated within the network. The system allows for the content provider to determine the license status of content and update the license status of content which was previously provided by that provider. The external content can be accessed in real time or downloaded and stored within the system for later access at the convenience of the user. The usage of some content is controlled by the use of encryption and other protection methods. The system allows for storage of live video by storing the digitized video and allowing the user to control how, when and where the content is viewed. The system makes available multiple multimedia services to all users in the network or connected via the internet.

摘要： An interactive television system is provided in which an interactive television application is used to support network-based or local personal video recorder capabilities. A user may use this application to view lists of program listings. The user may select a program listing of interest. The interactive television application may allow the user to set a reminder for the selected program at the scheduled broadcast time. This application may also allow the user to set a reminder for the selected program at a later time at which the program is not scheduled to be broadcast. The user may be provided with a reminder at this later time. In response, the user may direct the network-based or local personal video recorder to play back the program or may defer the reminder again. The interactive television application may collect information on program usage and popularity to determine how long to retain certain programming.

摘要： A method is provided for displaying an immersive video content according to eye movement of a viewer includes the steps of detecting, using an eye tracking device, a field of view of at least one eye of the viewer, transmitting eye tracking coordinates from the detected field of view to an eye tracking processor, identifying a region on a video display corresponding to the transmitted eye tracking processor, adapting the immersive video content from a video storage device at a first resolution for a first portion of the immersive video content and a second resolution for a second portion of the immersive video content, the first resolution being higher than the second resolution, displaying the first portion of the immersive video content on the video display within a zone, and displaying the second portion of the immersive video content on the video display outside of the zone.

摘要： Systems and methods for re-recording content associated with popularity that re-emerged are provided. A plurality of media assets is recorded. Responsive to determining that popularity of a given one of the plurality of media assets fell below a first threshold, the given media asset is selected for deletion and the given media asset is added to a list of a plurality of media assets that have been selected for deletion. Popularity for the given media asset in the list is retrieved after selecting the given media asset for deletion. The retrieved popularity of the given media asset, which previously fell below the first threshold, is compared to a second threshold. In response to determining that the retrieved popularity of the given media asset, which previously fell below the first threshold, is now above the second threshold, an action relating to re-recording the given media asset is performed.

摘要： A device may receive a segment of media content, and may store the segment in a first location local to the device. The device may generate a playlist, for accessing the media content, that includes a first segment identifier that identifies the first location local to the device. The device may determine that the first segment identifier is to be replaced with a second segment identifier that identifies a second location, remote from the device, from which the segment is accessible. The device may replace, in the playlist, the first segment identifier with the second segment identifier based on determining that the first segment identifier is to be replaced with the second segment identifier. The device may delete the segment from the first location.

摘要： Apparatus and methods to manage recording of streaming packetized content (such as for example live IP packetized content) for access, retrieval and delivering thereof to one or more users. In one embodiment, the foregoing is accomplished via communication between a recording manager and a receiver/decoder device. The recording manager manages and schedules recording of content on behalf of the receiver/decoder device (and/or mobile devices) disposed at a user's premises. The recording manager runs one or more computer programs designed to receive requests to record packetized content from one or more consumer devices, and use metadata contained within the requests to cause a cloud storage entity or premises storage device to record the content at its scheduled date/time (either via the receiver/decoder device itself, or another network entity). In this manner, the recording manager provides digital video recording (DVR) functionality to devices that would be otherwise incapable of scheduling a recording and/or recording such content.

摘要： Methods and systems for accessing content are provided. A non-tunable device (e.g., a device without the capability to tune to a particular channel) can access a particular channel via a tunable device (e.g., a device with the capability to tune to the particular channel). A computing device can facilitate content tuning. In an aspect, the non-tunable device can transmit a request for content to the computing device. The request for content can comprise a title of the content, a type of content, channel information, and the like. Upon receiving the request for content, the computing device can determine the characteristics of the non-tunable device such as device type, device capabilities, location, and identify all the tunable devices capable of communicating with the non-tunable device. Entitlement information can be provided to the one or more tunable devices. The entitlement information can facilitate access to the requested content by the non-tunable device.
